Normally, movies and live adaptations of games are done to increase the sale of the game & expand into the movie watching market that don't play games & get them to try their game. We saw The Witcher 3 PS5 update after the Netflix show, TLOU 1 & 2 remaster after TLOU TV show, Cyberpunk anime before the Phantom Liberty DLC. Bloodborne getting a movie almost confirms that they have a remaster/remake/sequel already in development which they will release after the movie to get momentum & sales.

Sony owns BB. It’s a popular IP. FS has no say in what Sony does with BB. FS would never make something live action because of their artistic integrity. Miyazaki literally just had an interview with Ganeinformer about a bloodborne remaster. He basically said that it was on the table, and that "IF" they do it, it'll be released kn the next generation of consoles to justify the actual remake of a game from PS4.
That is pretty good reasoning, why make a remaster if you have the same limitations and with ps5 vast improvements compared to ps4, he likely will have far bigger wiggle room to use, let along if he makes it a ps6 exclusive, god, he could finally make the poison swamp of his dreams.
i don't know if i would play a sequel to blood borne Miyazaki confirmed there isn't going to be a sequel since the don't own the rights to it, so if fromsoftware isn't involved i wouldn't even touch it with a 10 foot pull

The entire point of Bloodborne is that it’s not supposed to make sense; we humans cannot understand what is beyond us: the Great Ones. To represent this, there’s a thick fog covering the entirety of Bloodborne; a solid wall of mystery which gives nothing away. Now, imagine a movie like that… Hell no; would not be a fun watch! Movies aren’t a medium lent to not making any sense or having endings that leave more questions than disclosures. You could say I just described a mystery movie, but mystery movies have endings. They have a semi-satisfying conclusion. But, in Bloodborne, you turn into a fucking slug and the games over, no context given. The games is unapologetically vague… and that’s why people LOVE Bloodborne. Does it really make sense to base a movie on something without the key concept which popularised it?

PlayStation didn't even acknowledge FromSoftware in the splash screens of Demons Souls and wanted to be faithful to the original, not fixing any of the bug or AI yet changed the music,sounds and visuals? I would rather we just keep the original Bloodborne experience that way the creators vision is intact and we don't kill the OG's player activity any further than it is, if FromSoftware is not the one overseeing the project. Fuck Bluepoint and their space lazer noises and tech demo visuals.
