Great shave Mark.1955 Rex Supply soap seems like it makes an awesome lather. It is aptly named because I was born in 1955, so it definitely was a good year. Lol! Have a great day!
Mark, based on your video and recommendation, I decided to try this shave soap. WOW, the scent is fantastic, not a copy of something already around. The soap with the tallow base is excellent and a great protection for the shave. I liked it so much i ordered the after shave splash and it didn't disappoint. The combination of the two is outstanding and the scent stays with you for quite a while. The only downside is that there isn't an after shave balm. If you want something a bit different and not overpowering and offensive, this is the one.
Mark. 1955 is great soap. I've used it a few times now. Don't think you need anywhere near as much soap as you used here. A much smaller take will provide a very generous lather.

Great video Mark I just got the 1955 soap and aftershave and they are both fantastic! Another one I bought I'm not sure if you tried it yet its been out for awhile but it's called Vetiver Magnifique, you should give that a try it's so good Mark. Thanks again for these videos
Hey Mark, I have been using PAA Future Fiction shave soap, and I've been trying to get better at lathering, but not sure if it's because I have too soap on my face but it just looks dry.....Maybe it's not... Just curious if you could make a video of what a good lather for that kind of soap should look like. Thank you!
Matthew, Phoenix Shaving CK-6 likes water. Are you bowl lathering or face latheirng? You can probably gauge it a bit better by doing a bowl lather. I had no problem with getting a nice creamy lather even when face lathering. However, bowl lathering, as I've discovered to my enjoyment due to viewers suggestions, allows you to dial in the proper ratios more accurately. Shoot for a yogurt like consistency. I'll try to remember to emphasize this more in future videos with CK-6.
