I used this for my impact driver and managed to drive 7 million bolts in one shift! Perfect 👍

It's a nice plan for the outdoor/garden tools... But... How gutted would you be when your PDC1200 gives out and refuses to charge after you spent a good £1000 on it?

all makita products have a 3 year warranty for this reason

Plus Batteries only last for so long if you don't use them in the UK. Here in the US we have plenty of batteries and plenty of work we burn out our batteries before then so we get them back quick!! And keep building😂

Can the PDC1200 be used on 18v single battery tools as this video just suggests only the PDC01 has the lead for single 18v tools.

@@cbfsam thought as much but not sure why there's no solid state battery pack that will do both 18v and 18v x2.

And how about the electric shears that run on 36V. I am going to invest in the XGT line, but not if that does not work.

So now we’re back to cords?

Why does it weigh so much without batteries? The backpack itself weighs 5 kilograms without batteries, while its weight with installed batteries is 7 kilograms. An empty backpack weighs 5 kilograms, and 4 batteries weigh 2 kilograms.

i don't see the point in these. you go battery for the freedom of no lines. then you add a line again. why?

The heavy tools can’t be used on a battery for long.

It’s basically like having lots (?) of batteries in your backpack but without the need to switch them.

I'm a big Makita cordless tools fan, but to me the PDC01 is very expensive for a backpack that only doubles your battery capacity, and for the high price it doesn't even come with batteries. Why wouldn't I just buy an extra couple of 6Ah batteries and keep them with me and just change the batteries when the first set go flat? A battery change can be done in 20 seconds!

It has another advantages, you can use LXT batteries in xgt tools, the battery discharge rate its half and in certain tools you can make the tool lighter for your arms

This is totally pointless! We want a cord that we can plug into our 36v saws when we have power near by, so we don’t always need to use cordless

You can just buy the adapter they mentioned and make a second new one from your socket to the adapter (like 110/220 AC -> 40 DC or whatever they use).

@@joshbaxter5615Yes. Yes we do. Why would any rational person not want to at least have it as an option. If YOU wouldn't find it useful that's fine but don't tell other people what they would find useful.

Worst attempt at a power station I've seen. I expected a lot more from Makita. 240 AC outlet would be minimum. You can get janky Chinese Power stations of Amazon with better usability for less than half the price. Your better off just plugging the 2 battery's in you already own and save yourself a grand for a backpack.
