Your sound reminds me of those old violinists of the past century. The tone quality and subtle slides make it sound so much like you're singing through your instrument.
@@ArnaudSussmannViolin i agree, very nice old school playing and sound :-) really matches the b/w video.. i read your violin is a Landolfi? what year is it from?
One of the best sounds you can have on a violin produced by a pupil of a violin legend who is still famos to have one of the the most wonderfull violinsounds... Itzhak Perlman. Thank you for posting this
Just downloaded the app. Wow, it's very intuitive. Props to him! Don't think I would have ran into it if not for this video. Your playing is beautiful, and reminiscent of Grumiaux's recording!
How did you record this? Did you just take the recording produced by the app in the phone/ipad? Or did you use external mics/speakers? Great playing by the way!
Can you please tell me, did UMPG try to steal your copyright by claiming this public domain music as belonging to them? They did it to me as soon as I uploaded the valse?M
No, I didn't have that issue with this particular piece. I have many copyright issues on IG and FB with public domain music - you should aways contest it although it's often a tough battle to win!
@@ArnaudSussmannViolin We also always disputed! The claim on this piece is still not removed! I love your sound! Who was your teacher? Do you play in an orchestra or are you a soloist! You play so nice! I was learning this piece looking at your fingers!
@@ArnaudSussmannViolin I help a classical double bassist with her TH-cam and have disputed numerous claims. About half the copyright claims are wrong, sometimes even of modern music. (Such as they claimed the wrong piece or it doesn’t appear to be the legitimate copyright holder making the claim.) I’ve won every dispute so far and haven’t had to escalate any, but they often take the entire month to release the claim. It makes me sad to see the zillions of videos with undisputed claims that are obviously wrong. People are just afraid to fight it I guess.

I was thinking the same thing from a Dvorak video, and this one as well. Fantastic!
Most underrated violinist on TH-cam, end of discussion.

Amazing violinist!! What violin do you play on?
Thank you! I play on a c. 1760 Carlo Landolfi from Milan
@@ArnaudSussmannViolin thank you very much for the reply. It has a very nice tone. But sure, the violinist is more important
Rare and noble sound, great talent. Bravo!
