- In this video, I am white bass fishing in back water where I find a few crappie spawning as well. The White Bass Run Of 2024 is super hot right now in Texas. Most people don't think white bass will come into this back water, as long as there is enough current, they will use these areas to spawn. I went to the store today in North Texas to pick up 2 ACC Crappie stix(8,10) and was just talking to another gentleman who was looking at the ACC rods. We got to talking, and i mentioned something you do with your pole in your wading video due to the guy saying something about wanting to go wading for crappie. The dude stops me and goes, "903 fishing? Oh yeah, i know him. That's why im buying a pole today." Just shows you your outreach.

A lifetime in the outdoors and I have only seen two game wardens my entire life. One when I was hunting and one while fishing. I live in West Virginia and have been hunting and fishing since I was a kid. I'm 61 now.
lol I saw like 10 just on memorial day. To be fair they were in a highly trafficked area and basically at the only point you can get in/out of it, just checking people's catches I guess.

I use a Trilene XL. I've never had a tangle. No stiffness and very little line stretch. Works great on my lights and ultra lights. KEEP THROWING !

The wardens in Fremont Ohio usually stay out of site during the spring runs.They sit perched up with field glasses, scanning the river. If you see one he's usually ticketing a violator or getting rid of a poacher.
Yes in NC too but they short staffed so certain people be keeping undersized fish pissin me off IM TELLING LOL

I did the same thing and the same thing happened to me last year while fishing back water check by 6 … 2 in a boat game warden in Tennessee it’s wa a training week for the new ones . Glad to help … I told one i was going out them , so they could chase me … I was in a Yak and they were jet propelled boats .lol same thing happened the following week .

I've come across a few regular officers who seemed they'd rather try to escalate the situation with abrasive rude behavior, just knew enough NOT to call them on their bullying demeanor.

I love fishing the backwaters. I have never fished them for bass before, but I usually catch some good-sized crappie, bluegills, and some big catfish. I'm happy to see that the rangers you have are decent people. We have a few up here in Ohio that are as bad as the criminals. God bless.

My grandson and I were fishing off the rocks below the Wright Patman spillway the other day and probably hooked 30 white bass. We were throwing a Cast Master spoon and getting a hit every throw. The bad news was that not a one was 10 inches long. Great videos.

Buddy that was definitely to hear what you had to say at the 18:55 mark in the video and you wasn’t even back to the boat ramp!!! Boy I wish I lived in your area!!! Lol!! I live in southern Iowa and have definitely been having a hard time finding lakes that aren’t pressured really hard and can find some fish to bite or at least some that are over 10” for sure!!! I absolutely love eating fish but fresh fish for sure!!! I had a buddy get a few big catfish a while back and he had given me 3 gallon sized ziplock bags full of fresh catfish and I had them all gone with in 2 weeks and I’m not a big guy at 4’10” tall and can barely even eat a full cheese burger from a good restaurant and not a fast food place!!! Lol!! That was definitely really nice of you to try and give what you had caught away to someone else that might like to have some!!! The other issue I have around my area is there will be a bunch of orientals that will come down and have every dock with friends or family shoulder to shoulder and have the docks barely above the water and all them will have 5 gallon buckets and anything they catch they put into the buckets!!! I keep telling them every time I see them that there is a limit on how many they can take but they absolutely do not care what so ever!!! I have said something to the local DNR about it and the thing he says well I never see them and I’m at several different lakes every day all year long!!! And well I definitely no that is a lie for sure!!! I’ve been on those lakes a lot trying to catch fish and I have only seen him one time in 7 or 8 years and that one time was at a ice fishing tournament where he is expected to come out and check every one for there fishing licenses!!! I don’t know what would you say??? I mean really I love seeing everyone that comes out and goes fishing to see them catching fish but definitely not take every one that they catch!!! I even asked a couple of the orientals what they do with the crappies and blue gills that are like under 6” to 8”??? They say we eat them we cook them!!! I then ask do you filet them or and cook them or cook them whole??? They then say that they just scale them, gut them, season them and cook them whole!! To myself I was like well if they actually do eat them like that at least they are getting eaten instead of wasted!!!

in SC ive ran across game wardens that are nice as can be but the county turned my favorite fishing spot for channel cats into a huge RV park and public space that now cost money to use and the crowds have ruined the fishing. oh well though lol

They go where the shad/minnows are. The more shallower waters warm and perk up the baitfish.
I like braided line for everything. Put you a small leader on incase you get hung up. I’ve had better luck with braided line.

The only times I’ve been stopped by my local dnr on the open water, they were taking surveys of # of fish caught and what type. That’s all they asked about, then cut you loose.
