6:16 I have also faced this bug in HyperOS. Whenever you create a dual app, it creates a secondary app for Google Play Services (necessary), Chrome (bug) and not for Play Store as you mentioned. That invite is over Play Services. Even after removing the created dual app, Chrome remains as a dual app. To resolve, you have to totally remove dual apps from options which restarts the phone once. 6:51 I am also facing this dual name bug. It is present for almost all messaging apps on HyperOS. These are HyperOS bugs. I am facing this on Poco, except the lags and crashes which is due to Note's cheap RAM and ROM types plus slow processor.

I own 4 POCO devices and 2 of them I bought are within October last year Let me share my experience- I use POCO F5 and POCO Pad 5g and my father bought POCO x6 neo. The Pad and X6 neo I bought this October and the software experience on all 3 of these devices are vastly different. Starting, my F5 can share bt audio between 5 devices at once where my father's x6 neo doesn't even support volume sync. When I connect to my Sony soundbar, my F5 can control the volume from 1 to 50 which means basically full control but on my Poco pad it jumps between multiplies of 3 like 13, 16, 20 like that and on my father's phone you have to control speaker volume and volume from phone seperately. Also his phone doesn't even have a basic feature like pin background apps. Everytime i close all apps it closes everything like the music app which i usually pin in the background. In conclusion, agar koi bole ki unka Xiaomi 14 ya koi "premium" Xiaomi/POCO phone ka software accha hai, no bugs then it's true. Aur agar koi bole unka HyperOS ka experience accha nahi hai, phone me bugs hai then it could be also true.

6:01 is not a bug. I think its there so that you can use your device while on call. In one ui i always feel annoyed because whenever i am on call it turns screen off if my finger comes accross the sensor.

I have been using redmi since 2020 and it's my first smartphone. I consider and take the decision to buy the ph at that time because it gives a decent performance with a good battery backup similarly to a vivo y series ph I used previously and I'm satisfied with it, but when I got the ph in my hand it's a house full of bugs😅. The ph has same & equally capable specs and hardware of the vivo but MAN the OS and the software just can't (just same like u showed). It's like driving a supercar at a gully road😅. Then after more than 4 years of survival in oct 24 I made the concious decision to buy a Iqoo, for now it's running good but you don't know how and when this chinese os operators got you😂. Keep the work, Love your videos and watching since 2021.👍

First of all in settings , all function are high priority functions which you can't disable or hide even company can't disable or hide it.. it's there for a reason.

Others might face something else

I absolutely agree with you coz last yr I had purchased Redmi note 13 6+128 from Croma and so many similar bugs in the software that I absolutely got fed up and sold the phone after a month, it was my worst experience and imagine I use these phones as a secondary phone and still could not use it I wonder what would happen if it was my primary device

I have Redmi note 12 pro top variant and i absolutely agree with every point you made. The chrome clone app bug, app crashes, scrolling. And when i did some research i found that the pro plus version is much smoother and much faster than pro even though these have same processor.. i experienced these after my hyperos update. I thought it was only with my unit but watch this video made me realise its in newer one aswell. Thankfully the custom support is still a thing that made my phone usable.. im on Android 15 now and it gave my phone a new life... Everything is fixed including battery issues

Through video as always from GT. Currently using a 4 years old Mi 11x (bought at 25K from Amazon) running on HyperOS 1.0, the experience is good so far, its smooth, lag free with proper animations. I do have proper AOD as well. However the ram management (I have 8 gb DDR5) deteriorated after Miui to HyperOS update. Camera is a bit of let down but with GCAAm, its better than previous generation redmi notes. The front camera is also good. I have compared it with Redmi Note 13 pro and mine is superior in every aspect. I can even play dolby ATMOS videos, I have proper dual camera video recording, cinematic mode in video recording(works only for human/pets). The phone has UFS 3.1 with SD870, which probably making the difference. I guess equipping a phone with suitable hardware (as oer the price) is absolutely necessary and the current batch of redmi note phones doesn't make sense at all! And HyperOS is differently optimized with different feature sets for midrange(Redmi) and flagship (Mi) series!

6:16 its because you've created other apps dual apps. And to open those apps external links it automatically creates a dual app for chrome and uses that duplicate chrome to open links for those dual apps. You can disable it by going to the settings icon in the dual apps page then click -> delete dual accounts and itll restart
Same issue in poco x6 also. No proper ram management. I minimize bgmi just for 1min to check WhatsApp messages, and then when i open again bgmi loads from beginning. My 5 years old oppo phone does better ram management
My Note 12 Pro Plus and earlier Xiaomi phones were same with RAM. Closed any other minimised app very early, even if very little RAM is being used. I used to wonder if this is the RAM management standard these days for all phones. This was my third phone in a row from the company but now I will be moving out for better options. Lack of automatic phone call recording and sham of a 200MP camera on my phone has pushed my patience this time. Camera can't be handled well by this CPU but they still slapped them together in one phone. 🤦♂️
Yes, I have the same issue in my phone also. I am currently using a Poco M5 phone which has about 4 gb ram but can't manage it well at all. When I just minimize youtube to check my whatsapp messages it closes the app and loads the app from the beginning and closes the video that I was watching. It becomes so annoying sometimes. My old phone which was a Micromax which had only 2gb of ram, still handled ram better than this and kept at least 2 apps open in the background at a time. This poco phone can't even do that. Heck, I even used a low end samsung phone which had 1gb of ram, that even still could keep 1-2 apps open the same time in the background.
I've been using Poco X6 and it's been working well. No issues with the UI, updates or RAM management. It runs quite smoothly most of the time. I frequently open other apps while playing TH-cam in PiP mode without any issue. Only the battery life could've been better.
6:00 I think that makes sense actually. I have samsung mobile and i face this issue sometimes like if have to check something while i am on call then whenever my finger comes accross proximity sensor it turns the screen off so it makes it difficult to use. Say if i have to give some information to the person on other end of call and i have to check it in mobile then either i have to put him on loud speaker or i will have to use earphones/buds which is annoying actually. And i dont know if its instagram issue or one ui it turns screen off even when earbuds are connected so pretty annoying to use mobile when on call with someone.

@@Mrspstatus exactly dual apps run on a different play services. dual app concept is a secondary app with different user. it is not single user 2 apps. it is we who use that feature like this. so the option should be given like whether i want to connect the dual app with the play store or google services of the 1st app or i need a diffent play store. that option could have been included

I am a student. And I bought a redmi 9 power in 2020 for around 11k. U can't believe me I couldn't able to use that phone for an year due to software related issues. First few months the phone was performing normally but after 4-5 months the phone started crashing on every single app and even I have to go to the service center 5-6 times within a period of 3 months just to reinstall the os coz the os gets shutdown automatically and does not boot by itself again, So I had to go to the service center everytime to flash a new os(MIUI). It was so frustating then I decided to sell that phone wihtin a year of purchase for half of the price... I had a very bad experience with redmi and MIUI. Please don't buy redmi phones... Idk about hyper OS but this video reminded me of my experience. Terrible!!
On some Xiaomi phones, long press any app in recent apps, the screen will get stuck or freeze. Then, u have to press home or power button to escape that.

The issue when you watch a video on landscape, and you get a half screen, it started on my phone like a month to ago, I know all this problems are universal in xiaomi phones because they are on the same core software design.. You know watching that phone opening apps. I have a phone that's redmi note 8. It was like deja vu, fact like I am watching a redmi note 8 which has 4gb of ram opening apps and getting all that lag. Faced the same bugs with moto os and every other chinese software.... wspecially the in picture video play and normal video playback in youtube like issues with blank screens and black after rotation..... finally switched to cheapest samsung phone for about 10000 and never faced these problems, maybe except for some muting of sounds on youtube

6:01 is not a bug. I think its there so that you can use your device while on call.
In one ui i always feel annoyed because whenever i am on call it turns screen off if my finger comes accross the sensor.

I have been using redmi since 2020 and it's my first smartphone. I consider and take the decision to buy the ph at that time because it gives a decent performance with a good battery backup similarly to a vivo y series ph I used previously and I'm satisfied with it, but when I got the ph in my hand it's a house full of bugs😅. The ph has same & equally capable specs and hardware of the vivo but MAN the OS and the software just can't (just same like u showed). It's like driving a supercar at a gully road😅. Then after more than 4 years of survival in oct 24 I made the concious decision to buy a Iqoo, for now it's running good but you don't know how and when this chinese os operators got you😂. Keep the work, Love your videos and watching since 2021.👍

Others might face something else

I absolutely agree with you coz last yr I had purchased Redmi note 13 6+128 from Croma and so many similar bugs in the software that I absolutely got fed up and sold the phone after a month, it was my worst experience and imagine I use these phones as a secondary phone and still could not use it I wonder what would happen if it was my primary device

I have Redmi note 12 pro top variant and i absolutely agree with every point you made. The chrome clone app bug, app crashes, scrolling. And when i did some research i found that the pro plus version is much smoother and much faster than pro even though these have same processor.. i experienced these after my hyperos update. I thought it was only with my unit but watch this video made me realise its in newer one aswell. Thankfully the custom support is still a thing that made my phone usable.. im on Android 15 now and it gave my phone a new life... Everything is fixed including battery issues

Through video as always from GT. Currently using a 4 years old Mi 11x (bought at 25K from Amazon) running on HyperOS 1.0, the experience is good so far, its smooth, lag free with proper animations. I do have proper AOD as well. However the ram management (I have 8 gb DDR5) deteriorated after Miui to HyperOS update. Camera is a bit of let down but with GCAAm, its better than previous generation redmi notes. The front camera is also good. I have compared it with Redmi Note 13 pro and mine is superior in every aspect. I can even play dolby ATMOS videos, I have proper dual camera video recording, cinematic mode in video recording(works only for human/pets). The phone has UFS 3.1 with SD870, which probably making the difference. I guess equipping a phone with suitable hardware (as oer the price) is absolutely necessary and the current batch of redmi note phones doesn't make sense at all!
And HyperOS is differently optimized with different feature sets for midrange(Redmi) and flagship (Mi) series!
Kudos to you for pointing out all major and minor issues of HyperOS India 👏❤️

6:16 its because you've created other apps dual apps. And to open those apps external links it automatically creates a dual app for chrome and uses that duplicate chrome to open links for those dual apps. You can disable it by going to the settings icon in the dual apps page then click -> delete dual accounts and itll restart

Same issue in poco x6 also. No proper ram management. I minimize bgmi just for 1min to check WhatsApp messages, and then when i open again bgmi loads from beginning. My 5 years old oppo phone does better ram management
My Note 12 Pro Plus and earlier Xiaomi phones were same with RAM. Closed any other minimised app very early, even if very little RAM is being used. I used to wonder if this is the RAM management standard these days for all phones.
This was my third phone in a row from the company but now I will be moving out for better options.
Lack of automatic phone call recording and sham of a 200MP camera on my phone has pushed my patience this time. Camera can't be handled well by this CPU but they still slapped them together in one phone. 🤦♂️

I am currently using a Poco M5 phone which has about 4 gb ram but can't manage it well at all. When I just minimize youtube to check my whatsapp messages it closes the app and loads the app from the beginning and closes the video that I was watching. It becomes so annoying sometimes. My old phone which was a Micromax which had only 2gb of ram, still handled ram better than this and kept at least 2 apps open in the background at a time. This poco phone can't even do that. Heck, I even used a low end samsung phone which had 1gb of ram, that even still could keep 1-2 apps open the same time in the background.
I've been using Poco X6 and it's been working well. No issues with the UI, updates or RAM management. It runs quite smoothly most of the time. I frequently open other apps while playing TH-cam in PiP mode without any issue. Only the battery life could've been better.
My redmi note 7 pro is almost unusable because of bugs and appcrash , hang issues. while the realme device of same year and price is working fine

I have samsung mobile and i face this issue sometimes like if have to check something while i am on call then whenever my finger comes accross proximity sensor it turns the screen off so it makes it difficult to use.
Say if i have to give some information to the person on other end of call and i have to check it in mobile then either i have to put him on loud speaker or i will have to use earphones/buds which is annoying actually.
And i dont know if its instagram issue or one ui it turns screen off even when earbuds are connected so pretty annoying to use mobile when on call with someone.

@@Mrspstatus exactly dual apps run on a different play services. dual app concept is a secondary app with different user. it is not single user 2 apps. it is we who use that feature like this. so the option should be given like whether i want to connect the dual app with the play store or google services of the 1st app or i need a diffent play store. that option could have been included

I am a student. And I bought a redmi 9 power in 2020 for around 11k. U can't believe me I couldn't able to use that phone for an year due to software related issues. First few months the phone was performing normally but after 4-5 months the phone started crashing on every single app and even I have to go to the service center 5-6 times within a period of 3 months just to reinstall the os coz the os gets shutdown automatically and does not boot by itself again, So I had to go to the service center everytime to flash a new os(MIUI). It was so frustating then I decided to sell that phone wihtin a year of purchase for half of the price... I had a very bad experience with redmi and MIUI. Please don't buy redmi phones... Idk about hyper OS but this video reminded me of my experience. Terrible!!
On some Xiaomi phones, long press any app in recent apps, the screen will get stuck or freeze.

May be It Depends on Mobile to Mobile Software version , as of now i have Redmi 12 5G which i bought on previous year 2024 and it becomes very smooth after getting the update of android 15 and Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0.3.0 and it's price is only 12K , May be this Phone which you reviewed got some advanced version with features of HyperOS which have bugs

The issue when you watch a video on landscape, and you get a half screen, it started on my phone like a month to ago, I know all this problems are universal in xiaomi phones because they are on the same core software design..
You know watching that phone opening apps. I have a phone that's redmi note 8.
It was like deja vu, fact like I am watching a redmi note 8 which has 4gb of ram opening apps and getting all that lag.

Faced the same bugs with moto os and every other chinese software.... wspecially the in picture video play and normal video playback in youtube like issues with blank screens and black after rotation..... finally switched to cheapest samsung phone for about 10000 and never faced these problems, maybe except for some muting of sounds on youtube
