Splendid upgrade. Your wife will be pleased for sure. Often when you present a project I wonder what was wrong with these. You explained how the construction of the shoe was causing uncomfortable wear on the sole. But you fixed it! I am very fond of your channel and your work.
Hey Art.. they did put a shank but on the video you can hardly tell when they put it. You would be able to see it right before they glue the cork on. On the other hand my next moc toe resole will be done with Dr Soles 😊
beautiful job. great looking boot . i love the vibram on moc toe much better then wedge much nicer look. the edging you put on welt gives it a much richer look.
Beautiful work. A heeled boot in the sea of wedge soled footwear out there always stands out and looks better. On another note, I repaired my first pair of boots by putting a new wedge sole on them. I didn't have any of the right tools and my contact cement didn't hold very well. It was a nightmare finding things to clamp the welt down to the sides of the sole. They're hideous, but I think they will get the job done. I did use the technique I saw you use where you stitched through the welt into the sole to secure the front down harder, so they shouldn't immediately fall off 😅
Not at all, every single Stitch acts like a tiny Nail that and the glue is what holds the soles , that’s how Red Wing, Nicks, White’s and Wesco have been making boots for about a century!! Don’t worry!!
¡Te han quedado guapísimas! 💯🔥 Capo tengo unas dudas. Gracias Maestro. 💯🔥💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A one-piece sole with a heel would look better and more practical to use, especially if you use these shoes in wet conditions. I live in a region where the weather is wet most of the year, reagents are on the roads and all this destroys the skin on the sole, which is not covered with rubber.
It's funny when you criticize the kind of work you do😁... I work in construction, and I can never eat comfortably at a restaurant by criticize the kind of work they did😄😄. When you know your s*** no one is going to trick you, 👍
Aaron it seems even on the job you can’t escape your wife’s projects jaja 😅 I do have a question for you if you don’t mind. Could you have kept the original welt and just sanded down the high areas of the upper and then put the cork and new sole on? Or was the original welt not even/flat around the boot? It seemed to me like you could but maybe you just wanted to do the welt yourself with a high quality, personalized touch? Anyway, appreciate any explanation. Thanks
I know right 😅😅 I would never keep the welt on mine or my wife’s boots Simply because there’s no comparison between a Resole keeping the same welt and having a new one, not mention that I used a natural color and stained it the way I wanted it. Don’t get me wrong, I do a lot of Resoles in which I keep the welt, but I don’t make videos of that I’ve mentioned that Re-welting a pair of boots takes an extra 60 to 80 minutes, So these are the 3 Reasons why I keep replacing welts 1- because is over sanded and by the time I do my final sanding, you boots will end up looking like (Dress Shoes) you’ll need a magnifying glass to search for the stitching on the welt 😅😅😅 If the client wants that I’m ok with it 2- they want a different color Either black, brown, Natural etc. 3-they want to go from flat to storm welt Again don’t get me wrong I for sure do regular Resoles and keep the same welt But I only make videos about custom Resole . I have several videos where I kept the welt!! Thanks for watching!🙏 Cheers!!

Thank you Kevin!✋🏻
Happy wife happy life. Good job on her boots.
I know right!
Thanks
Great work. "But" 😁😁 I would have gone with the Dr sole half soles n was wondering y no shank. Going from a wedge to a heel.

😬😬✋🏻👊 that’s good we all started at some point, and like you said, without the right tools things can be a little complicated!!!✋🏻👊
Go to home depot or your preferred hardware store and snag some of them 1 dollar spring clamps. That's what I use.
Very interesting, I never seen curved soles like that before and what causes it. I learned something new today.
Hi Alex, thanks for watching the video!
Great job on your wife’s boots. 👍
Thanks 🙏
You are right, Red Wing quality is questionable, but I believe you can send an obvious defect like this back for repair at no cost through a RW Store?
Yeah you can do it!!
Nicely done.

Super job, great looking now, so much classier!
You don't need to add a metal shank?
Thanks.
The shank is just there
Minute 4:24
It doesn’t matter if it’s a metal or fiberglass Shank we definitely have to add one, and I did it!✋🏻👊
Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍
😅😅😅
Quedaron 👌 super
Great job once again!
Do the ladies RWs come with the leather footbed?
Thanks Wayne, not them have leather foot bed
Will the outsole and midsole detach from the welt when the stitches breaks? The stitches of my Bachman worn out on the first day of wearing.
Not at all, every single Stitch acts like a tiny Nail that and the glue is what holds the soles , that’s how

¡Te han quedado guapísimas! 💯🔥 Capo tengo unas dudas.

We live in California, We don’t have that problem !!
These ara not an everyday pair of boots!!
no, not really we have drought in So.Calif and it hot
Súper suaves!!!
Honest question - do nails affect the comfort of the boot? 🤔
Not at all
It's funny when you criticize the kind of work you do😁... I work in construction, and I can never eat comfortably at a restaurant by criticize the kind of work they did😄😄. When you know your s*** no one is going to trick you, 👍
😅😅 is not that I criticize them but, I just don’t think is fair having to pay $350 for something in that condition!!
The algorithm brings me here today
How much would that cost to do?
Chulada 💚
Cuánto cuesta un trabajo como ese?
Saludos
Does that sole change the weight of the boots?
Just a bit even though they have leather stacked heels, the rubber soles and heels are very thin!
Aaron it seems even on the job you can’t escape your wife’s projects jaja 😅
I do have a question for you if you don’t mind. Could you have kept the original welt and just sanded down the high areas of the upper and then put the cork and new sole on? I would never keep the welt on mine or my wife’s boots
Simply because there’s no comparison between a Resole keeping the same welt and having a new one, not mention that I used a natural color and stained it the way I wanted it.
Don’t get me wrong, I do a lot of Resoles in which I keep the welt, but I don’t make videos of that I’ve mentioned that Re-welting a pair of boots takes an extra 60 to 80 minutes, So these are the 3 Reasons why I keep replacing welts
1- because is over sanded and by the time I do my final sanding, you boots will end up looking like (Dress Shoes) you’ll need a magnifying glass to search for the stitching on the welt 😅😅😅
If the client wants that I’m ok with it
2- they want a different color
Either black, brown, Natural etc.

Again don’t get me wrong I for sure do regular Resoles and keep the same welt
