if you are going to do a train line between the island, it should be an above ground regular train line to a hub on each island. from there have the subways be local travel (stay on each island)and the "actual train" run across the channel. you can do a New Oileans subway loop that connects to its hub

Seniac, maybe you should create a really HUGE metro loop from Larson Park (forget how you called new district) to → Campus district → New Orleans → district around dam → Utility Island (near nuclear power plant) → Industrial area (or airport island then industrial)

I dont think you shoul extend the subway. It just feels slightly too unrealistic, you could give new oileans iits own subway loop, but not connect it. e.g. the isle of wight in the Uk which has no connections to the mainland other than ferries, but has a small train line running through the island.

I’d prefer you not extend the subway. It makes the airport and seaport redundant. Might as well connect the highway to the map edge if you want to extend the subway.

So much time and money spent on roads and upkeep. I've complained across the last couple episodes and it got me thinking, instead of complaning why not try and think up a real idea or find a mod or something. An island built on the oil industry and yet nothing local even uses it essentially has to pose an issue because this amount of oil would be best utilized by the local population for their vehicles and gasoline for daily use. So thinking about it i thought instead of hiding a connection on a small bit of land at the edge of the map, What about an underwater tunnel? The longest tunnel in the world is almost 25km long in Norway. It can be realistic if this island is somewhat situated close to land and it would enable vehicles to actually utilize all the roadways and would justify the massive highway.

When you built your oil fields you did not place the over the oil. The oil is the green areas of the map. Your oil fields are not above the oil.
