I have been fortunate to be able own most of the Sage rods , single handed , Spey , and switch and love most of them but not all . Funny you mention the Z Axis that model replacedI the SLT which was my favorite and when I got the Z Axis I hated it , but after a while it to became one of my favorite rods . Sage has always made a great product , the one problem is there cost . Thanks for sharing
Sage fly rods are great but you will have to wait 3 to 6 months for a repair which will cost you $100 to $300 without shipping, NO THANKS I sold all my RPL+ XP Z-axis and SP models, I have replace all of them with Echo rods with a way better warranty, and parts are available online through the Echo website.

Is it true that their discontinued rods are $200 to repair?
