Their love took a longer journey in the novel and it was too late when he realized her significance in his life, like super late. Imo, the drama did better narrating the plot of their love story than the novel. The actors portrayed their role more than I imagined when I was reading it (Demon King/The Parting of the Orchid and Cang). Novel or Drama? I'd pick the drama version every single time.
@@lnjmy9152 The book would’ve been difficult to adapt 100% into the drama due to strict censorship which is not allowed to stay true to the original story since the plot is kinda ruthless, more twisted, and the way his character was described (bad&jerk). I’d say that the drama is adapted 25-30% from the book hence a lot of scenes that happen in the drama are quite different from the book with varying plot-wise as well as changing some parts and adding plenty of support characters to fit the drama environment. I'd say that the drama is definitely a very loose adaptation however it works well the way it is. The drama used well the scenes, and narrative threads, adapting some parts of the dialogue, and character descriptions appropriately it was a good decision from the drama team to do it! Overall I loved both (drama&book). I think both the drama and the books are amazing. They each have their good and bad points but they are equally impressive^^

Uea in the bts Dylan was so into the character, it took him some time to stop crying. Very much like what Gong Jun in the scene when Wen Kexing knew Zhou ZiShu's time is not much. I do love these actors and actresses when they're their characters💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Wang Hedi's crying in this scene reminded me of when I saw him in Meteor Garden. Near the end, his character lost it and ugly cried. I don't think I've ever cried along with an actor before that moment, but something about the scene and his crying hit me and I started to bawl with him. That's when I knew that he was more than just a pretty face. The same thing happened when I watched this scene-- very rarely is it acceptable to completely lose it crying in a scene (it's often unrealistic), but it works perfectly here because a) it's Wang Hedi and b) we've never seen DFQC completely lose it until this moment. It still makes me teary-eyed when I watch it, and again, that doesn't happen to me very often.
The saddest part was, the sacrifice also was triggered by DCFQ hurting her intentionally as the only choice to save her. He had not married her yet, had hurt her though he did not want it and finally lost her. DFQC devastation was greater than the male leads in AOL and GMP. Though a bit similar escape (sleep, did not want to wake up) with the female lead's escape behavior in eternal love ten miles of peach blossoms, DFQC made it worse. He was burning himself to demise wih the memory of his beloved one. Tbh. The writer, the producer, the director were really briliant to arrange this.
but in aol at least jinmi know how what xufeng really feel to her....how he said he loved her....its unfair for orchid....he said he never love her before she sacrifice her live....in crying so hard😭😭

she used the sword that the chidi woman used to kill to herself to entombed the Moon tribe soldiers. This broke the curse and severed their connection and her death also freed those entombed soldiers.
