My Thoughts - The Pearl L-55 is a 3 piece design with a Handle made of brass metal with Premium Antique Brass , and a Zinc alloy head. On an aggression scale is between 7 out of 10. Pearl says that this is "Best Safety Razors For Beginners". I slightly disagree, with the .8 blade gap, you must treat her with care and respect or she will bite.
Barbus Classic “Soft & Gentle” shave soap that contains Glycerol and Coconut Oil for a smooth, mellow shave with a pure clean scent that has a light hint of dry Citrus. This extremely dense pearl-white cream forms a very protective and moisturizing lather. And the matching splash has the same scent qualities but for an alcohol base, didn't sting.
Barrett's Olympiad complimented the scent of Barbus very well.
The L-55 took me on a successful 2 pass trip on the shave train to BBSTown.
The @headblade continues to not disappoint. 2 passes and I was smoooth.
My advice: Barbus, very simple, a great product.
The Pearl L-55 is a good mid-higher aggression razor. If you like them a bit more aggressive, for the price , this is a great razor that can be a daily driver.

I love the L55 and have the version with both the CC and OC base plates. The OC is amazing with milder blades and gives me a near BBS with only two passes.
The L%% is good. I am looking at the version withh both bases. Which blade to you like with the OC? Have a great day and smooth shaves
@@TheDeaconShaves I absolutely love it. Gives me a close, almost BBS shave with the Willys or Gillette Winner blades with just 2 passes. For 3 passes, I use it with the Gillette Wilkinson Sword Indian blades and it gives me a 99% BBS shave with no cuts and very little irritation.
Nice shave Eugene! I have yet to try a Pearl razor. I do like that they are more aggressive. Sounds like they may be similar to Parker razors.

Hi Eugene, I think that Barbus is great stuff. One of my favorites. I have not tried anything from Pearl yet. I may go for the Pearl Flexi Open Comb. Just need to make some more room in the den! Best regards, Glenn
Hey Glenn, I agree, Barbus is a go to for me when trying a new razor most of the time. Very reliable when it comes to the lather. Just add a shelf somewhere :) LOL !!! Have a great day and smooth shaves
