one thing ive seen alot of hoppers do is run a longer bolt then add two nuts on the ball joint..think thats what iam gonna do but might check out hoppos balljoint extenders caus i think they are like powerball where they move and take stress off but not sure..awesome ride love it !
Thanks for the input ill look into it. As far as the extenders they’ve work well for me and gave me the positive camber and higher lock up i was looking for. Ill actually look for grade 8 bolts to replace the ones on there to prevent shearing. Thanks again bro
@@El_Ceza ok cool. The uppers don’t give you any higher of a lock up. It’s all from the lowers to the frame cup. More in there gives you more lift. Uppers just hold the spindle in place.
The plan was to replace one by one instead of fully removing them lol Here is the thing, if the lowers are the ones that give you a higher lock up why are the upper A arms the ones that get extended and not lowers for higher lock up?
Great video, This was the main reason I was debating airbags over hydraulics, did you notice a big difference in your car not laying as low in the front anymore? I am also looking to make a high lock up in the back with airbags, do you have any suggestions? Thanks
Thanks, there is not a big difference in regards to how low it sits. It is still really low, only thing i did notice is that my tires are really close to fender inner wells i clear them but if you run 14” wheels i feel like you would hit For higher rear lock up you could do triple bellow airbag but you would sit maybe 1 1/2” higher when aired out
@@El_Ceza I appreciate your reply. Do you feel the difference in how low the front lays now is about as high as the extenders are? I assume a few inches? Did your car ever lay frame to begin with? I am looking into triple bellows, do you know where they sell them at? I appreciate your advice
I cant feel the difference on how low it lays, my car has always laid on my mufflers due to them being 1/2” lower than my frame and after the extenders it feels the same but the positive camber messes with the eye. The guys over at USA Motorsports should be able to help you with the triple bellow rear bags as well. Not a problem, good luck with your build

@@El_Ceza thanks I definitely need to look into these then , I went to get an alignment done , the toe was fix but camber wasn’t able to get aligned that well , still looks like it needs more positive camber
These will break when you hit a turn one day. I was researching these when I was doing mine. The only one I found that wouldn’t break was the big off road bolt they use. Be careful man.
Clean car! Did you have to cut the bump stop bracket? Just got my lock ups I didn’t see you do that on the video. Let me how they are working so far thanks.
These are called “high lock” pieces but they do nothing to lift your car higher. It’s only if you need more space for your uppers to move if you are bottoming out on the frame. They are called this because if you have 10 inches of lift or more your uppers(after shaving off frame bump stops), will hit the frame. So you get extended and or ball joint extenders. They do break but free up space for the lift.
Agree 100%! When i come across the convertible i want, im going all out with a hydraulic set up 👌🏻 In the mean time ill cruise and enjoy this one comfortably
They are really solid havent had any issues, i cant roll lowered have to come up at least 1.5”due to my mufflers and tire being close to fender with the positive camber now. Appreciate it, ill be on the look out and ill post if anything goes wrong
@@El_Ceza they may be solid but the little bolts will break. Be careful man. I feel if you shave the bump stops off the frame, you don’t need these or the added danger.
Excellent
Clean deuce…the angle on that spacer helps out a lot with the air dumped takes extra stress off the balljoint
i want to put them on my convertible 64
Gives it a different look for sure!

Also you still have the bump stop on the frame under the uppers which stops the lift. Those cut off to give you more room.
Thanks for the input ill look into it. As far as the extenders they’ve work well for me and gave me the positive camber and higher lock up i was looking for. Ill actually look for grade 8 bolts to replace the ones on there to prevent shearing. Thanks again bro

I actually got more lift, the reason i know is that now my rear bumper scrapes which before it didnt
@@El_Ceza when you replace the bolts measure bottom of the bumper to the street then also when you take them off. That would be a good video to make.
