Giving flowers to display appreciation is traditional in most Eurasian countries and is a custom adopted globally by his fans. At solo concerts Russia they still allow small groups throughout the concert as not to disrupt the flow. In the West it is sadly a different story

He's a Russian composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash.
This is why his fans love him so much and why they are so protective of him. It's not just about his voice. He is genuinely one of the nicest people you could find. He cares so much about the world and the people in it. He gives so much of himself and is so hard-working. He's warm, funny, generous to a fault but is constantly working to improve himself and always believed he can do better. If you ever get the chance, watch one of his rare interviews, he's extremely intelligent and well read but if he's forced to watch a recording of his performances you will see him watch intently often frowning when he hears a mistake or something that he didn't like about the performance. He's a complete musical genius but there are loads of funny videos of him because he has such a boyish sense of humour.

in this song he is singing in Russian. Not really his native tongue but commonly spoken among his people. the sound he makes before he goes off and a middle eastern singing technique. I believe they call it trilling. You hear it in Muslim call to prayer but not contemporary entertainment. I love the sound.
The people at the start were not his family. The man at the end in the white shirt is Igor Krutoy, a famous billionaire music mogul and composer, who after hearing Dimash sing Sinful Passion, came out of retirement to compose songs for Dimash and you will often see him playing the piano.
The man at the piano is Baigali Serkebayev, who wrote the song. The song is in Russian. The long note is 23 seconds.

It's not exactly a note but an entire section consisting of multiple notes and despite having heard it multiple times it remains impressive.
Those were his fans (Dears) with the signs. The man standing at the end in the white shirt was renowned Russian composer Igor Krutoy. He came out of semi-retirement to work with Dimash after this performance. He and Igor make an incredible team, and have developed a warm, father/son like friendship.
I'm glad you let the end play out, so you could see what a humble, grateful, and respectful gentleman he is. He's such a spectacular human being, and so sweet and patient with his Dears. 🥰 And he can never carry all of his flowers...lol. When I originally looked at the amount of time he went without a breath, I believe I remember 25 seconds. The next longest note I've heard from him was in "Stranger" at 20 seconds. Crazy breath control!
Yes, Stranger was incredible. Sadly, I received a copywrite strike on the song and they did not allow me to post the reaction. This is the 2nd Dimash song that I encountered a strike... I will announce on a video reaction next week and will explain. Thank you!
@@larryshair It seems that Stranger has such copywrite that reactors have had to be very creative to allow their video to get uploaded; from using still pictures from the performance, to covering most of the screen with "fog", but the best kind of filter to viewers, I think, are white diagonal lines, that still allow viewers to see the video, and the brain almost can un-filter those lines once the visual signal is received from the eyes. This results in a minimal amount of loss of visual stimulus. So sorry about the strikes.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). I understand it was 23 seconds. I've been even more impressed by his 20 second note at the end of "Stranger" and his 17 second one at the end of "Love Is Like a Dream." The power of those notes is what gets to me most.

Larry... singing in Russian in which he is fluent . He is also fluent in Kazakh and getting more fluent in English. He has performed songs in 12 different languages. It is very difficult to sing in a language you don't speak and bring the full meaning and emotions of the song. He does it by study and practice.

That was Maestro Igor Krutoy standing applauding in the white shirt. I was not long after this performance that Igor came out of semi-retirement to compose strictly for Dimash. The first song composed was Olympico. The songs Dimash sang prior were written by Igor but were covers. i.e. LOVE OF TIRED SWANS especially the version performed for the first time at the Kremlin.
Yes. One breath & all those complex runs whilst maintaining that power - that volume... Incredible. And... I keep watching to see him take a big desperate gasp of air at the end - before he moves straight into that final passage - and of course - he doesn't ! { WE DO! For him! } A smooth barely there 'sip' & he's off again. That's mega-training. MEGA! Olympic star level synchronised swimming lung capacity. Wow. And a genuinely decent guy as well. Apparently he sends all the flowers to both Children's Hospitals & Aged Care Facilities.
He's a great role model for how to carry the burden of fame without a shred of ego. I hope he can continue to do so. I suspect he can. He was raised right by both his parents and grandparents. Recognition is one thing ( that all artists crave). Fame & Celebrity is quite another. The latter can be an overwhelming & intrusive burden - that we have seen far too many rising stars stumble under the weight of.
I worry when some of his fans go off into the stratosphere in 'transports of self massaged ecstasy' & waffle on about 'perfection'. Nobody in the whole wide world is perfect. I'm sure Dimash is not, & that's also a heavy weight of expectation to lay on anyone.
That's why I found it so heartwarming last week to watch a clip of an interview with his Mum where she complained about him!
Well, not complained - but worries for him - which is of course 'the job' of ALL Mum's!
She said he's often absent minded & disorganised - being 'away in his head' creating music a lot. That sometimes he has to be reminded to eat - to sleep. Sometimes he's turned up to the airport leaving his clothes - his baggage back at the hotel. Sometimes he 'loses time' & even misses his plane! Love that. That's MY kind of 'perfectly fallible perfection' ! It is also the price every truly great Artist pays in their pursuit of continuous improvement & excellence in their chosen craft.
At the same time it's important that us - his audience - don't box him in with burdensome unrealistic expectations or demands. Dimash is a young man still exploring and evolving both personally & professionally. It's vital that he be given the space & also gives himself permission to do that - including opportunities to fail - to make mistakes. To sometimes 'mess up'. After all; those are critical learning opportunities & gateways to new directions. Exciting to see which directions Dimash's career will go. 😊

Hello, those people werent his family, they were Dears, as Dimash calls us, his fans. He sang in russian in this case. He speaks kazakh, russian, English and also he had to take mandarín lessons the time he lived in China. He has a lot of songs in mandarín in his repertoire and a chinese reactor told that his pronunciation was perfect as he were native. He had sing in 12 languages until now. At first when he sang in English his pronunciation was not very good but he has improved very much. The standing man in white shirt is Igor Krutoy, famous russian composer, who has composed many songs specially for Dimash's voice.

Dimash is an innovator. That's why some people adore him, and some dislike him. That happened to all innovators in all fields in the history. But to able to assess an innovator, one needs to keep an open mind. People tend to think that a very technical person cannot convey emotions because the former kills the latter. That's not true. There are four types: not technical and not expressive, technical and not expressive, not technical and expressive, and technical and expressive. Dimash is among a few who belong to the last category. He can make people feel personally connected with a folk song (Daididau th-cam.com/video/Ra4v19Rp6cQ/w-d-xo.html). Speaking about techniques, I'm sure he has opened a new door to the next generation of singers. There will be more people trying to attain the technical level that they previously thought imposssible.
Actually, it's the other way around. He is so technically good that he doesn't have to think about how to hit those notes, he can just dedicate himself to actually living his songs, let himself immerse into the emotional world of the song without disturbances. For me, he is the most emotional, touching performer in the world.

Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. This is how Sinful Passion was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalise, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words.

Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath. Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis.

This song is a cover. The band is the same as the original but unfortunately the original singer of Sinful Passion is deceased, may he RIP. Dimash normally keeps the lyrics and composition the same in the beginning and then he dimashifies the song to make it his own. He’s such a beautiful talented and very humble young man. If you think that was the longest note last/ breath you've heard sung then you clearly haven't heard Stranger yet. His last single note on that song his last note is 18 seconds long and his last breath is 20.
This song is sung in Russian which is a language he grew up speaking as well as Kazakh. Most cuz I speak Russian also because of their historical background.

No its not his family, they are fans "Dears". He sings in Russian but its not his native tongue, that would be Kazakh, he is from Kazakhstan although as a post Soviet country they were forced to speak Russian. The last "note" was actually a very complex run with Melissa's and went on for 24 seconds. Use the timer on the video to find out. The song was in honour of the band A Studios 20th Anniversary, the keyboard player Baigali Serkebayev was the composer but the vocal gymnastics were composed by Dimash who made the song completely his own and the band of Kazakh origin were very happy Dimash agreed to the collaboration as they had a hit with it all over again. Dimash is a very humble and respectful young man and always thanks his fellows on stage and the flowers, he receives so many znd the amount increases with each performance, he donates them to local hospitals, children's homes, hospices etc wherever he is, and that is many countries of the world. He collects them all up and they are driven to wherever will take them ❤

I truly enjoy, when people say, I know Dimash, I know what to expect. Then, "Wow, what is this? I never heard this from anyone before".... It happens to me all the time, as well.
I tried to sing along and passed out after about 10 seconds.
Dimash is performing "Sinful Passion" in Russian. (Dimash speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently). Sinful Passion is a cover song originally performed by B.Shukenov and A’Studio. This performance is a beautiful interpretation and tribute by Dimash. The original singer died several years ago, but the remaining members of A’Studio were playing on stage with Dimash during this performance.
I have many of his songs of B.Shukenov in my playlist. Dimash has stated that "Mirage World" by B.Shukenov is one of his favourites (it is beautiful and also in my playlist). Dimash recently recorded "Amanat" which was also a song previously sung by B.Shukenov; it is in Dimash TH-cam Channel.
Amanat is amazing, Dimash performed it in such a beautiful, emotional and moving way.

If you want to see his mother : react to the song "Marigolds" the live performance. It's an old folksong and the audience sings along with him. They show his mother in the audience and on big screen behind him. It's the beautiful woman getting into tears. If my information is right is song about seeing your mother getting older. After this performance by Dimash, Krutoy began working with him, writing new songs for Dimash, and in some cases re-writing/arranging existing songs which he had written in the past for singers such as Lara Fabian.
The combination of Dimash and Igor Krutoy has led to some of the greatest musical performances in decades. I can recommend "Love of Tired Swans", "Love is Like a Dream", "Your Love", and "Olimpico".

Hi, hahaha Dimash usually doesn't breathe, and he won't let us breathe either, as we hold our breath along with him. The "run" that he does in the middle of the song, is something typical traditional Kazakh, uses an oriental scale. The last note easily held her for 15 seconds. Since in his song "Stranger" he holds it for 20 seconds. Amazing, and wonderful is Dimash. ¡¡¡
The last note here is actually like, 23 or 24 seconds long...

That’s Mr Whale Lungs right there!!!😂😂😂💕💕💕 Dimash can jump in one end of an Olympic size pool and dolphin kick his way underwater all the way to the other end of it, without taking a breath, with video proof.
