Hi Anita. Thanks. Just took it steady and tidying up as I went along. Chuffed I got them out but I have a bit to go, and I will have to get creative where to put things next. Elaine 🌱 😁👍
I’m planning on getting most of my brassicas and onions in the ground over the weekend. They are way past due. I just need to find all my hoops and netting. Hopefully there aren’t any rat nests in the nets. Happy gardening 👍🏻
Oh I was dreading getting the nets and hoops out as it's such a pain, but it has to be. The pigeons will be monitoring the situation laugh. Hopefully you didn't find any furry friends lol. Everything has grown so much and desperately needs to be planted out. I'd plant out, even if it chucked it down, as long as it's not cold laugh. Have fun at the weekend (I await a progress report) 😆. Bye for now, Elaine 🌱 🌱🌱🧅🧅🧅🧅🧅🧅
Hi Elaine I had to adjust my pea's again so I will be implementing your technique next time.👌 Your brassicas look amazing.😮👌👍💪 Great advice for the cages too and yes it is a faff 😂👍
Hi Nick. Never had it so bad that I had to lift the membrane, but it had to happen. I'm pretty chuffed I've got them this far without being chomped by slugs. I liked the way you did your netting. The clips have arrived today so I'm going to try and make the new covers as neat as you did grin 😁
Poor babbies 😂😂, it was 1c last night so boots are still on here. Wow cabbage looks great Elaine 👍. Supposed to rain all next week here and temps will be low teens. Hope it all grows well, have a super week Elaine, Ali 🌧️🌤️🥶🇨🇦
Thanks Ali. I'm sure your temperatures will pick up very soon. Im keeping a close eye on the waeather though. I'll be out with thermafleece before ya know it lol. Take care, Elaine 🌱 🌞🤞
Iv got some tweed .. well what the slugs didn't eat anyway 😂 Fingers crossed mine do OK. I'm starting to harden my peas off now to plant out possibly this weekend. We took our membrane up in the brassica cage and let's hope there's not many weeds come through. 3:42 who planted all this ? Exactly what I say when we were planting put the masses of onions. 😂 With the netting last weekend I had a right paddy 😂 😂 the netting I used last year didn't fit this year ... don't even ask 😂 got more on order. Iv never had celeriac before, we having jacket pot and salad tonight (my jacket is a sweet pot) See you on the next one
Lol Tracy. Having a paddy. I planted a tomato plant and it snapped (I lost it and ripped it out of the membrane). I changed tack and put them all in pots. Jobsagoodun' 😂. Your peas should be fine but have some fleece (and slug pellets or beer trap) to hand. If you see weeds coming up, be over them like John Wick lol. I planted l o a d s of onion sets. I've now interplanted with carrots. I'm the same with you with netting, that's why I'm going to tag them up and mark the hoops with coloured tape. Enjoy your tea. I'm having salad. 🌱🌱Take care, Elaine 🌱
Some great tips in this one Elaine, looking forward to getting my garden finished and enjoying the planting and growing.
With your polytunnel, you'll be able to grow masses of plants. No space problems there 😁👍🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
Hi Elaine, everything’s looking fantastic! You must be shattered planting all those out but a great job done 😁

@allotmentjoy that idea I took note to be honest and I'm going to do the same.or fold them and label the bags. Some way anyway.
@traceysallotment2506 we used the same method when putting our camping awning up to match up the poles. Goes a lot quicker.
