Great vid and the most comprehensive knowhow about Leyshrines. Only two additional comments from my side: - Crafters always spawn in wave 2+3 on any surge. Might be good to know if you search for something specific - T3 Fighters from a T1 surge as well as from wild surges have 1.12 internal dmg modifier. T3 fighters from T2-T4 surges have 1.44. Named do have 1.56 or 1.36 (but they will have a tone of life)

Thanks this was much needed! We noticed ourselves and read on Reddit, that the thrall list at summons is bugged. For example we got 19 T4 thralls from north any only got 3 from center for the same 1k+ overcharge surge. We never got BS or Armorer from Center or Dafari, and Dafari is regarded in general as absolutely useless.. Some directions give 90% t4 thralls and skulled untabables, some like Center and dafar have 40% t1 20% T2 and warriors. Also, overcharge Jhebbal Shag warriors that we did yesterday just to check ourselves how crappy it is (very) came without any weapons, everything came unarmed including 3skull and 1 skull bosses. It was pathetic and obviously buggy. Also the barrier is bugged also I just presume it is destroyed after summons and the respawn for it bugged, we only saw it twice since Siptah start. And it desummons halfway through the surge.. I can probably list a ton more of problems with the surges, Open inventory so russioans on our server always came and steal out our elderium and take our thralls, some thralls follow us till the side of the map others don't aggro at all, Yesterday the Jhebbal shag yielded ~50+ locust babies. nothing else. Some surges like the north drup usually a full set or 2 of armors, the Jhebbal shad dropped 1 piece only for an overcharge summon. We are playing since start but the surge, although the mechanic would not be bad, soo freaking buggy, it's mostly a disappointment.. What I don't like the most is that they were obviously didn't care about solo players.. I've seen people leaving the server and stopped playing Conan after they heard what they'd need for a t4 thrall With the bad chances (our sever has never seen a t4 taskmaster or blacksmith) and the fact that a solo player cannot do a full surge without the storm coming in halfway? The other is the open inventory.. It's a great idea for PVP, but in PVE you cannot freakin' do anything if a-holes just ride in and take your everything. You can ask them nicely, but that's all. if people can come and steal your stuff they will come and steal it. PVE servers should have PVE measures. Our summon should remain our until we decide to share it with someone.. This would be super-easy to implement if FC would think it through and care.. Regardless. Thank you for the guide! I might make a cheat-sheet we never know what brings what we just go for north ,since that's proven to be good.
It's a shame its so skewed still, I'm hoping they will fix it up or at least change some aspects of it. Me & my clan have had a few locust filled jhebbal sagg shrines as well, most shrines feel over dominated by fighters, feels like it should at least guarantee some kind of t4 crafters for the amount of grinding it takes, especially for solo.

I had to kill t4 thralls on his rope so at least he won't get our stuff, but this is supposed to be official PVE not PVP or conflict. PVE players should have better control over their own surges. Regarding distribution, We went specifically for West since your video showed taskmaster there. Although we only got t3s, it was useful to know what we can expect. Thanks again! Saw in a video a guy mention you can put Eldarium in the other containers for traps and to automatically knock out the purge thralls, but they didn't give details. The guy just hit a lever and just zapped like 3 thralls at once and knocked them out instantly. Can you still do this, and if so, how exactly does it work? I've seen a number of vids on the Leyshrines, but none have shown exactly how to set the traps and knock out the purge thralls.
I"m kind of wondering if feeding more doesn't improve the chance of the t1-3 that spawn being T4. Meaning at 3000 surge you would get mostly nameds but run the risk of getting a calamity and getting nothing?

All of them have T4 fighter/archer/barrer(sp) We need to know if the different crafting thralls drop in each area. We started doing testing on private server mode so this will most likely be a crowd sourced thing on reddit as it will be a lot of respawning to get a list of what each LvL 4 Surge has/doesn't have.

I got the isle of siptah for Xbox one the day it came out for consoles and was wondering does this still work now that there are npc camps? Also can this be used to spawn Claw of Jhebbal Sag Npc's?
It still works as an alternative, you still get good thralls from this although if you didn't want to go through this event then you can farm thralls out normally via camps. There is jhebbal sag peeps in the shrine

So, if you put in over 1000 ???s and DON'T hit calamity, does it increase your chance to get better thralls? Is it like a betting, if you raise the bet you may win more or loose everything when it rolls calamity? If it's not like that, what's the point of calamity?
Hmm.. one would think that it would make more sense if there would just be a limit how much ??? you can put into leyshrine then, instead of this obscure way of perhaps triggering calamity if you overload the shrine. Really odd mechanic.
But then again this whole Maelstrom farming for thralls is stupid imho. Huge grind to get thralls that are useless to you when you are at the level you can get them.
Seems like when I do exactly 1000, I only get 3 waves of thralls, but when I put in more than 1000 I get 5-6 waves. Am I wrong and the amount of waves you get is totally random?
@@KiahOnFireOfficial Yeah, my math might have been off a couple times. I probably didn't have quite 1000 the times I was gettin 3 waves. There's 2 static spawns in J9 of 3skull boss dragons, along the ridge there, the greater essences have made the math easier for a potato like me XD. Cheers!
This is a very long video just to say if you need thralls you only need to put 1000 score everytime you summon a portal going under 1000 is only good if you farm your gods ressources but thats it. Always put for 1000 instable and farm all temple "north , east , south , west , center" and you will see what are the best thrall. Like berserker aesir or the berserker from the east temple "that is the lemurian" there you can tam a slave that has 7800 hp lvl 0 (the best i ever found)
The entire Thrall system is screwed.. Especially on the original Conan as you basically cannot even find a III Thrall these days.. They have literally pigeonholed all the Thralls into just specific locations and then its only a chance as well.. Totally screwing over everyone attempting to go onto a server, start on a server, or compete on a server... as there is literally [as its set so low] no chance for a random named thrall spawning.. This is what happens when you have developers editing the game who have never played it... They have turned it into a grind that impossible... at least half the named thralls will never be found or used as they don't spawn. Even in CHEAT MODE popping around you never find any.. only in the pigeonholed areas and they are only specific ones... They literally eliminated 75% of the named thralls in the game.. some of which are required for specific armors and weapons.. As far as Isle, not my thing.. This is literally an ARENA area for clans... that's it. The direction they are trying to go IMO is totally wrong. I can already hear the pitch meeting.. Fast Paced and Exciting... and its neither.. just a salt mining area.. where you gank on people trying to gather mats or find thralls.. Its like they polled 8-year olds for game development concepts. Bunch of people on a small map fighting each other over thralls that poop out of the sky... and everyone can see where they are pooping out at.. Every change they make is like throwing a pebble in a pond... it has a ripple effect.. Hell, its almost as if Named Blacksmiths don't exist in the game... You have to grab the generic one in the cave if he spawns.. or find Brie, or head into the Volcano.. or maybe the city if your lucky... but never seen one in city yet. Only Alch is in the Dafari WhichDoctor.. Hell, I have been porting around looking all over the map at what they did..for weeks. Named Blacksmiths, its like they don't exist.. Slavers basically don't really exist... Alch don't exist.. on and on and on and that's just the crafters... All the other named thralls [combat] that were rare to being with walk around in the game are GONE too... Only Named that seem to exist at all are Carpenters, Tanners, and Cooks that's it.. Never a slaver, alch, or blacksmith... you know the ones you need. I could go down the list of all the thralls that are missing and that will never really spawn anymore but that would eat up a whole other page of text.. Next thing they will do is put only one horse in the game that only spawns in one spot.. Like in the Volcano lol... These developers are real idiots sometimes.. They want you to grind the game for a year to find a random named thrall now.. lol Hell, I think I spent like 4 hours just porting around invisible at all the known Bearer locations and nothing... Something that would have taken a player months to do to come up empty.. and that was just a dumb Bearer thrall... Something Firespark should probably look at.. as its gotten to lame grinding, and time consuming to even bother with.. or even play at this point.. Think I found a lvl III blacksmith once in all the hours porting around looking.. Brie seems to be the only one in the game, besides the generic one in the cave..

how much and what material do the layshrine pads use to knock out thralls... the lightning knock out thing... sorry not sure how else to describe it.

And AFTER you knock em out? Then what? I placed a wheel as close as I could but mobs in Maelsrom broke it.
Just throw some steel fences around ya wheel, normal weapons, melee cant break steel walls

The amount of waves you get are 5. Although I think the storm still expires it so its good to do it just after a storm

Same. There's a lot of planning and tactics that terrain bring into an assault; this is just a gladiatorial arena with extra steps.

Alch don't exist.. on and on and on and that's just the crafters... All the other named thralls [combat] that were rare to being with walk around in the game are GONE too...
Only Named that seem to exist at all are Carpenters, Tanners, and Cooks that's it.. Never a slaver, alch, or blacksmith... you know the ones you need. I could go down the list of all the thralls that are missing and that will never really spawn anymore but that would eat up a whole other page of text..
Next thing they will do is put only one horse in the game that only spawns in one spot.. Like in the Volcano lol...
These developers are real idiots sometimes.. They want you to grind the game for a year to find a random named thrall now.. lol Hell, I think I spent like 4 hours just porting around invisible at all the known Bearer locations and nothing... Something that would have taken a player months to do to come up empty.. and that was just a dumb Bearer thrall...
Something Firespark should probably look at.. as its gotten to lame grinding, and time consuming to even bother with.. or even play at this point.. Think I found a lvl III blacksmith once in all the hours porting around looking.. Brie seems to be the only one in the game, besides the generic one in the cave..
