I just took a step drill and drilled one very large hole into the front of the baffle. Then with a die grinder I opened up the exhaust port to roughly three times the original size, my MS 460 has never run better.
I've never had a problem with HyWay mufflers other than the baffles not being spot welded well and eventually rattling loose. I remove them so that isn't a problem. I've had some on upwards of 3 years without issues.
@@srcarr52Mine came off yesterday on its own , a lot cleaner than this video tutorial xD. I was wondering if I should weld it or leave it off. I guess I'm gonna just remove it.

I just took mine apart. Is this really worth it?
THANK YOU! 🥳
Why do you remove the baffle?
The baffle restricts how wide you can make the exhaust port at the flange.
Excellent video I will be buying a spot weld remover bit
Not the easy way if we ain’t got the tools lol
Dont buy the hyway mine fell to pieces after 5 months made from Chinese steel

mine was in daily use in 25" + timber maybe just too much for the hyway product
