It's good, humorous, knows when to ramp the intensity and when to take the piss, and the worldbuilding / mechanics are such a high focus that it becomes intertwined with the plot and story
It's repetitive in the first half, and could've integrated the world building much earlier. Some of the humor can be hit or miss. I still had a lot of fun watching it though. Looking forward to season 2.
The first half still works well as an introduction as it needs to for long run episodes. I rewatched the show and noticed some detail I missed back then, cause everytime they cook I rarely pay attention. It took me a while to notice how light Chilchuck is that he need to put a bag to trigger the contraption trap.
I love how they have an upbeat and cheery opening song for the second half of the story when the body horror starts.

Dungeons and Dragon D&D. And we got Delicious in Dungeon DiD. But its the same and its awesome I love this show.
