Square and toylogic have dropped a video talking about the dev history and current dev process of foamstars, and it actually reaffirms a couple of points in my video here, such as their quick responsiveness and deep consideration for the character's lore and personalities. Do give it a watch (subtitles on!) if you haven't already!

Just want to add that this is one of the only games with a decent colorblind mode, game got a lot easier for me after I turned it on.

It has a nice colorblind mode, but I just can’t support a game using AI art when Square could easily hire actual artists.

That's completely fair. I still question the use of ai when they clearly have artists for everything else, and then went on to stop using it for post launch songs. it doesn't make any sense.

the "Splatoon clone" comparisons take on an interesting twist when you remember that Splatoon itself likely originated from a pitch High Voltage Software made to Nintendo, about robots shooting each other with water.
they initially approved the pitch. but dropped the game after news of it leaked online.
there's a video on the "DidYouKnowGaming" channel about it.

Great vid my foamie. I really wish the game just went f2p as well. It really does deserve a bigger audience.
