    Nice little flashlight. Wurkkos can make interesting models 👍

    The TIR performs amazingly on the SFT-40. But Wurkkos missed an opportunity to pair it with a boost driver. With the 18650 battery, it would outcompete against the Thrunite and the Noctigon DM11 w/SFT-40 and be a true duty light. I'd gladly pay double for a boost driver in that beautiful orange body.

      I agree for the smaller battery the boost driver would be choice, but not for optimum output, the boost driver is for efficiency not for higher power output

    This is a really fun little thrower with the best UI ever! 😁 Definitely one of my best purchases this year!

    Surprisingly excellent performance from the LED and TIR optic. Amazingly, the performance compares very favorably with my Acebeam P18 (bought on your recommendation), despite having FOUR SFT40s! Of course, the P18 sustains far higher output, but it was also FOUR TIMES the price of the TS11.
    And I really enjoy the Anduril 2 UI and RGB aux LEDs. Especially the feature that provides for battery voltage indication via the RGB aux LEDs. It is one of the best values for a flashlight, currently available. For the price, as you say, I don’t expect full regulation. But I would have been happy to pay a bit more for that feature…
    However…
    I had a problem with my example.
    A couple of weeks after receiving my TS11, the flashlight experienced some sort of problem with the driver.
    When attempting to activate Turbo mode, the light actually reduces brightness.
    There are also problems with some of the strobe modes.
    I made a TH-cam video of the issue which I’ll post below, if anyone is interested.
    I am pleased to report, however, that Wurkkos responded in a timely manner to my email, and has shipped a new TS11. Hopefully the new unit won’t have any QC issues.

    Another thing to consider is that the TS11’s performance is MUCH better with the battery extension tube and a good, high-drain 18650 like a Molicell P26A.
    Using that battery, output is much closer…if not outright equal to…stated performance claims.

    I wonder why Thrunite went back to a reflector for the V2. Any ideas?

    • @HitoriGnocchi
      @HitoriGnocchi ปีที่แล้ว +7

      bc some people complained it throws too well and the beam is too narrow, hot spot too small…. everything that makes it an actual thrower people dont like bc they cant use it like a general flashlight so thrunite dumbed it down for them so now the V2 doesnt throw as far but the hot spot is larger with more spill. its less of a specialized thrower vs V1

    did you adjust the white balance when you were testing it outside? the light looks so blue its even worst then Olight.

    Thanks for the review! About how long can the aux lights be on until it drains the battery?

      Yes it can. In fact you can Lego battery tubes and tailcaps between all Wurkkos 18650 lights as they all share the same threading.

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, battery was full. You have to take into account the beam profile aside from pure lm output...

  • @wesolowskimatt
    @wesolowskimatt ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Drivers and output stability aside... Wurkkos has problems with quality control. So much "dirt" inside the optics!!😒
    I know that they are not expensive but I have never seen something like this even in the cheapest products from ather brands, even 10$ lights from varta or energizer.
    I have few lights from wurkkos and 2 of them have also particles in the optics. Not so much as this one in the video but it is still annoying. Cheaper drivers for cheaper lights are ok if we know what are we buying but this... come on.
    Wurkkos be better!

    • @marcgossling8260
      @marcgossling8260 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cheap drivers??? This little light puts out over 2000 lumens at turn on, I’ve measured it several times . To get that and all the other high quality parts that go into these lights, I don’t care if there’s a few dust particles even though I have yet to find one particle. I know at the beginning they had some qc problems, but the 20+ lights I’ve got from them have been amazing

    • @wesolowskimatt
      @wesolowskimatt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marcgossling8260 yeah, cheaper drivers. Not the cheapest, not the worst but still, great drivers in wurrkos products are very rare. 2000 or even 5000 lumens on turn on means nothing if light cannot sustain good output afterwards. Ofcourse that turbo is just for very short period of time but I'm not taking about that. I wrote that for the price, cheaper drivers are ok, my issue is with qc, they should do better job with that. Hopefully in the future they will be able to.
