I don't know this guy's name, but he is by far one of the most straightforward givers of deer advice.

This makes so much sense. Wow. I went out this morning to some big public land (490) acres in Mark Twain national forest and I see tracks everywhere. Last night same thing. Everyone is parking and going on the right side of the land where it is more flat with few hills and spurs. I got tired of that. Went to the left to the other side which had more slopes, hills, spurs, and draws and what do you know I saw a twelve point chasing a doe. Saw all the bedding areas, saw some turkey's, and a water source.

Absolutely useful set of information! It'll take a few watches to really digest it.

I hunted some public land in Kentucky and everyone was hunting the flat side of the road . I picked the really steep hilly side the bottom was really flat and wasnt really wide because it river was on the other side of the flat .I got a really nice buck on opening day of December muzzleloader season because no one else wanted to hunt it. Everyone told me I was wasting my time, did I mention it was my first time hunting Kentucky . My buddy decided to try what I did after I got mine and a few hours later he got a really nice buck same day . I is also a really heavily hunted public land.

I dont hunt, but i can tell you this. I take the dog to a 4000 acre preserve in the Chicago suburbs. There is a designed trail (mowed grass) that goes through out the land which poeople / horse riders stick to, but me and the dog like to get off the trails and cut through the taller stuff. Unbeknownst to probably anyone else who goes there, in the middle of the grass land is a little random pond with a small stream that runs off it. Almost impossible to see from the trail, and there are deer prints galore around it.

I love that people like Steve B knows what he's talking about I hunted a high pressure state land just 2 months ago a lot of tracks coming and going into a marsh area but I never saw any deer except 2 two days after rifle season started but since I live in Michigan I did see a 6 pointer off I-75 going too Prundenville, Mi which by law you can't get out of you vehicle and kill it too many witness that's the only Buck I saw in 2019 and they love to come out at pitxh black when you sleeping until the next sitout which my camwra took 5 pictures of a 8 & 4 pointer and two Doe's & one fox so I came up empty handed for the second season , But I get to get another chance Alpena County Mi on private land is alouding extended rifle use because of the cwd which the deer must die and I want my first buck oppurtunity

Scouted a bunch of big islands on a big river this spring, spooked deer on every one of them. I might quit if I kayak out there at 4 am just to run into another hunter 😂

In NC it does not matter once rifle season starts. There are literally people everywhere, and you can not go deep enough because you will just come out the other side.

I hunt in western NC and there are spots most won’t dare to venture. Saw a bear last season but he stayed away. Amazing bucks on cameras. Is a trek up a mountain but we’ll worth it. I hunt recurve therefore I’m learning to get closer

@@fabiomejia2260 there is literally no place in NC for hunting that you are more than 2 miles from a road. And western NC is a literal walk in the park compared to the east.

some areas it can get quite ridiculous hunting bc there's so many ppl, not every where but some places, I keep driving if I find multiple vehicles until I hardly don't see any anymore, it will also help a alot and I recommend you do this the day before, take your vehicle to where you want to go and scout that land, stay there until it gets dark don't leave, once it gets dark you can leave bc most ppl that camp will avoid you and have found their camping spot, so you go back to that same spot at 4am and setup for hunting

@@whitetailrealityoutdoors958 so.... Where you are is yours, as I see it. Unless someone is already there. I mean we're talking about dozens of square miles. Nobody can be sure if or where others are, unless you see stands or placed brush, or some type of blind. And if you do, how much space are you supposed to give them, 100 yards, 1 mile? More. Seems to me there are no written answers to a lot of hunting questions. Shame, I want to start, but I don't want to ruin the work somebody has already put in. Or make enemies out there.😇 Shooting a crossbow already puts a strike against me in the minds of some....hunters....😁
