After hearing this song in season 1, 9-10 years ago, I listened to it every time I had to say goodbye to my parents who literally live on the other side of planet earth… hearing it after, arguably the greatest episode of rick and morty, made me cry so hard.. much love to my parents and much love to the greatest series ever - rick and morty ❤ ❤
"IT'S FINE, EVERYTHING IS FINE! There's an infinite number of realities, Morty. and in a few dozen of those, I got lucky and turned everything back to normal. I just had to find one of those realities in which we also happen to both die around this time. Now we can just slip into place of our dead selves in this reality and everything will be fine....we're not skipping a beat, Morty."
"THAT! out there! THATS my grave. on one of our adventures rick and i basically destroyed the whole world, so we bailed on that reality and we came to this one because in this one the world wasn't destroyed and in this one we were dead. so we came here aa a and we barred our self's and we took their place. and every morning summer i eat breakfast twenty yards away from my own rotting corps!"
Since This Rick has memories of Morty growing up. I think Evil Morty is either his protege that wanted to be master, or it's a Morty he abandoned to some terrible fate like in the opening credits. He's seeking revenge and power.

*Nostalgia becomes depressing as you grow older and realize just how long ago the nostalgic times were. You love them, and you’ll never forget about them, but perhaps we all look back and admire nostalgia because we all want to go back to those times. Life goes on and time waits for no one, so really, in the long run, all we can really do is live life to the fullest and create new nostalgia to cover the old, but not necessarily forget about it. It’s an endless cycle, I suppose.*
This song has been added to the list of songs that are to be play at my memorial. No funeral gonna be cremated and scattered. Tears in Haevan is another by Eric Clapton And one more. Im 62 now, don't have to much longer to wait. Can't wait to see family and my soul mate kitty Kaici, he's waiting at the Bridge right now, along with several others. Watching the scene in The Sopranos where this song plays out at Jackie's funeral must have been heart-breaking for Michael Gandolfini whilst preparing to take on the role of young Tony. What an amazing guy he was. What an actor and what a legacy!

Thanks bro. It was in The Sopranos season 1 episode 4 "Meadowlands"at the end of the episode. It happened at Jackie Apriles funeral. Look it up, its an awesome scene with no dialogue needed.
Rick and Morty brought me here, and let me say, this was the best episode in the series, everything was there emotions, action, evil morty... Everything! And ending with this song... *sigh*
Somebody right now is crying, laughing, sleeping, walking, yelling, having sex, mourning, relaxing. My grandmother, who has been like a second mother for me all my life, suffered through alzheimer for five years. She left us three weeks ago, at a point in which she didn't even know who we were anymore. She taught us that life is a journey we only get to enjoy once, with good and bad moments. She left calmly, with one final, but peaceful, sigh. The last thing I said to her was "Good night grandma. I love you".
It just makes you hate people because of the assholes that hurt you ..like you just want to be alone...and you wish you can be this outstanding person you know you are but for what? Your not gonna gain nothing from it..just be the weird person who try’s but deep down you feel everyone knows

I've been listening to Mazzy Star since around 5th grade. It's 2021 now and I'm 35. I had a sister with good taste in music. I was also glad to hear this song at the end of one of the Rick and Morty episodes. Good stuff.
I shouldn't be listening to this. I just visited my mom, my best friend, in the nursing home. 3 days ago I was talking to her, she was doing crosswords, tonight she's unresponsive. I am crying and typing. I love you mommy. You mean everything to me.

rick and morty iis the most exciting animated show since Futurama. I haven't been this impressed since Futurama first aired. it has huge potential. I hope season 2 can live up to season 1.
I know, right? Futurama was a great and unforgettable show, I was so sad when they ended it. I'm really happy that Rick and Morty has come along, I absolutely love it.

Mazzy Star is like a classic 60s star manifested 30 years later. She's like a lava lamp. It's a psychedelic experience and you have the oceanonic experience listening to her like I imagine a baby has. It's sublime listening to her.
This is one of my favourite moments of the series, it gives Morty the insight and strength of his "Nobody exist on purpouse" monologue. We all have to bury our corpses in our backyards, we all have to face the reality of our senseless and inminents deaths. That's the only way we can begin to *give* our lives meaning.
Me and my gf broke up yesterday, none of us wanted this. We couldn't keep up our relationship because of her family pressure, We met in Syria during the war, I was the last sane guy for her and she was the last sane girl for me, We laughed and cried together. Thank you dana for everything you gave me. You're an angel.

My brother and I used to listen to this a lot 10 years ago. I always get chills knowing I might listen to this one day with tears of loss... But for now, it brings me peace!
I had this song played at my grandmas funeral. She sufferd from demensia the last years of her life which made saying goodbye very hard. Bidding farwell to a person I grew up loving and who ended up not reconising my face the last time I saw her was probably the worst thing I've ever experienced. This song really expressed my feelings towards that whole situation and made my greiving proces a bit easier to bear.
I lost my mother very early to frontal lobe dementia. I watched a vibrant, outgoing, kind, funny and loving person diminish to a vegetable over 8 years, then spend the last 1.5 years of her life in a vegetative state. She was 52 when we realized something was very amiss with her. I turned 54 this year, and while it gives me some solace that I have no symptoms yet, it also illuminates to me how very young she was to begin her slow death. We need human euthanasia for people with diagnosed dementia. Once they get so far gone, it's just hard on everyone left in their life and that can last for years. There was a point when I thought my mother's decline would kill my father who was 10 years older than her. The stress, the constant reminder she's there, but not there. When she died I felt relief and immense guilt, because for several years prior, I had wished for her death to end the suffering of my whole family. She LOVED music, and giving me that same love of music was one of the greatest gifts my mother gave me. She loved nature and always marveled at the moon. I sometimes sit under a full moon and listen to music to honor her. I got her 1972 record player and hundreds of albums from the 1950's, 60's and 70's and even more singles. Her name was Geraldine June. My rescue doggie is named June after my mother.
I hope when we die, we get to pick chapters in our lives we could replay. And we can all just chill in heaven together having fun all day with those you knew during your life.
@@flawedperfexion7238 I fully support your belief in Christianity and the Bible, and if that’s what you believe life after death is like, then all the power to you. However, the simple fact is, Christianity is not the only religion. And it’s not the only interpretation of what happens when we pass. Nobody truly knows what may happen, we can only find a belief to follow and hope for the best at the end of the road. For you, may God bless. For others, may their gods bless them, or may they lead fulfilling lives.
I've been feeling so lonely these days, but this song helps me feel at peace in that solitude. This song appeared to me in the precise moment I needed it, I'm grateful for being able to hear it and to find people who love it aswell, I feel less lonely now. Sadness and depression will end. Remember you have to be sad to know when you are happy. We'll all get there, eventually. ❤ I hope this text from a random person gives you peace and hope for today and the future. Take care.
Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day. :)
I feel so empty.. I wish there was a bottle deep enough to bring tears to the surface, But until then.. Here I am. At least there's good music. Be good to yourselves, you guys.. be better than me.
I just realized completely randomly at work -while fetching shopping carts in the parking lot- that this song is about suicide. The name "Look on Down From the Bridge" means the speaker is literally looking off of a bridge from which she's about to jump from. "Look on down from the bridge, There's still fountains down there. Look on down from the bridge, It's still raining, up here." She's saying it looks so much better at the bottom of the bridge (dead) then it does up on the bridge, where it's still raining. (Says some dark things about Morty's state of mind as well if they chose a song about suicide to play whilst he thousand-yard stares into the camera, then cut to black. Damn I love that show.)
HamburgerTime209 I actually think it's about someone who has committed suicide and is waiting for their loved one to do the same. Everybody seems so far away from me...I'm Just gone, just gone Look on down from the bridge I'm still waiting for you
+HamburgerTime209 Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think it's more about somebody that survived the suicide of a loved one. And how they have to face a world that can't understand their pain. They have to say goodbye, like we all do at some point, and they have all these good memories but they just can't be reconciled with the choice that person made. Like maybe it's told from the point of view of person that's trying to put themselves in the shoes of somebody that committed suicide, trying to make sense of it. Maybe pleading with that person to rethink it, even though they're already gone?
justMe Actually, it does, Lol Because that's the whole point of me commenting the original sentence, just innocently referring to Rick and Morty is all.
Ever since the first time I heard this song I have been searching for it. It REALLY touches me to my core. Thanks for sharing your talent. Don't ever stop.

this song hit hard when it first apear in RM, and then it hit hard again.i can literally feel the hollow feeling of rick
"Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere everybody's gonna die.
Come watch TV."
The existential crisis is real. Love this show!
So is there a reality where Evil Morty was Rick's original Morty?
Since This Rick has memories of Morty growing up. I think Evil Morty is either his protege that wanted to be master, or it's a Morty he abandoned to some terrible fate like in the opening credits. He's seeking revenge and power.
Here's the lyrics. Please like so it goes to the top in case people are interested.

After all these years, now Rick knows how Morty feels...
You know a song has deep impact when it ends the innocence of AJ Soprano and Morty Smith.
I really appreciate seeing your comment. I was a big fan of this band for years and always thought of this song as a losing of innocence. I don't remember it being on the Sopranos but the Rick and Morty episode made me flip my shit.
Thanks bro. It was in The Sopranos season 1 episode 4 "Meadowlands"at the end of the episode. It happened at Jackie Apriles funeral. Look it up, its an awesome scene with no dialogue needed.

RICK AND MORTY FOR THE WIN
My grandmother, who has been like a second mother for me all my life, suffered through alzheimer for five years. She left us three weeks ago, at a point in which she didn't even know who we were anymore. She taught us that life is a journey we only get to enjoy once, with good and bad moments. She left calmly, with one final, but peaceful, sigh.
The last thing I said to her was "Good night grandma. I love you".

This is one of my favourite moments of the series, it gives Morty the insight and strength of his "Nobody exist on purpouse" monologue. We all have to bury our corpses in our backyards, we all have to face the reality of our senseless and inminents deaths. That's the only way we can begin to *give* our lives meaning.
our death isn't senseless. our lives are.
THE ANSWER IS ...DON'T THINK ABOUT IT!
theyre not senseless.. deaths or lives

I am so sorry to hear that, she is in a better place now.
Woooo . . I wasn't ready to read that. =(
I lost my mother very early to frontal lobe dementia.
This song reminds me of my grandma that passed away in 2020. As one of my biggest supporters when she passed she took part of me with her.
I hope when we die, we get to pick chapters in our lives we could replay. And we can all just chill in heaven together having fun all day with those you knew during your life.
How would you know what happens when we die ? You won’t find out till the very end that’s what makes life so crazy is no one really knows
@@thebayharborbutcher9115 we absolutely can know what happens when we die. Read your bible and put all your faith in Jesus Christ. God bless!
@@flawedperfexion7238
I fully support your belief in Christianity and the Bible, and if that’s what you believe life after death is like, then all the power to you.
Some people have no good memories, but hopefully we can share in others and feel joy through them 🤞🏻

I just realized completely randomly at work -while fetching shopping carts in the parking lot- that this song is about suicide.
The name "Look on Down From the Bridge" means the speaker is literally looking off of a bridge from which she's about to jump from.
"Look on down from the bridge,
There's still fountains down there.
Look on down from the bridge,
It's still raining, up here."
She's saying it looks so much better at the bottom of the bridge (dead) then it does up on the bridge, where it's still raining.
Everybody seems so far away from me...I'm Just gone, just gone
Look on down from the bridge
I'm still waiting for you
Ohhhhhhhhh..... Maybe.
+IveGotToast Except the dead don't sing, or do or feel anything at all.
Never heard of artistic license?
+HamburgerTime209 Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think it's more about somebody that survived the suicide of a loved one. And how they have to face a world that can't understand their pain. They have to say goodbye, like we all do at some point, and they have all these good memories but they just can't be reconciled with the choice that person made. Like maybe it's told from the point of view of person that's trying to put themselves in the shoes of somebody that committed suicide, trying to make sense of it. Maybe pleading with that person to rethink it, even though they're already gone?
"What about the reality where Hitler cured cancer? The answer is we don't think about it!"
+Omar Moodie Yeah, he offed himself. He definitely cured that "cancer"
justMe You have absolutely no idea what I'm referencing do you? Lol
Omar Moodie
