Yes! I love JVC/JBL stuff. I am sad that I was unable to hold onto these things but I got mine. On post and it was a display model. Sooo. It was like. 200$... Nah! Like $239 I had the remote too and I never used the batteries. Just the AUX power cord. That boom box was so awesome. It has crazy bass anddd it got loud enough. It was worth it. Sold it for crack
Got mine for Christmas 99 and it was the only home stereo system I owned until 2015 when I finally upgraded to a Bluetooth component system. I even had an old cassette adapter for personal CD players that I used to listen to my iPod on it. I bet it would still work if I dug it back out.
Someone threw out this same JVC Boombox to the curb and I picked it up and it plays perfectly CD/Tape/radio etc. it was missing the two knobs Bass & volume that's all. And I'm very happy it. The bass is AWESOME!!
Mine is missing the two knobs as well, and it still gets used on a regular basis. The thing is over 20 years old and still has life in it. I lost the remote that came with it though, probably during one of many moves.
I remember hearing this boombox in the 90s, and the bass from it was awesome. The bass ports were at the rear, and the subs certainly kicked out some bass! Great to see it in action on here. 👍😵💫
I got one for free last week in pretty bad condition, but all the drivers work perfectly and it has AUX. Love these boomblasters, they really pack a punch
I've bought one of these about 21 years ago. It still works and still sounds great. I recently bought a mini bluetooth receiver off eBay for £5, which brings it up to date. If you can find a good used one, get it.
I have an old gray model in my garage but it is very finnicky and hard to select 'tuner' but it still sounds nice, I just picked up a translucent blue one for free, super clean and in good working order, even the antenna is in one peice!
I have the green version, bought it on july 1999. The backlight went off 10 years ago. Maybe the source burned out. There is a little problem, every time it goes standby it wont work anymore, doesn´t respond to any button, doesn´t respond to the RC, unless i unplug the power cord and reset it.
I bought it back in 1999 and its still going strong, best bass sound for a portable player !

The CD player died when I had this out in the sun when I was camping.
I used it for many years after by plugging into the aux jack.
She’s a fine piece of kit. It’s a thumbs up from me. :-)
