I actually checked to see if anyone else had covered this. Not many. This one is decent. Not exactly what I'm doing, but quite nice. Digging the vocals.
This is a killer cover. I think a cover should sound natural to the band that does it, and this does. They own it. I hate it when a cover song sounds just like the original. . .I'm always left with question why? If you're going to just copy the song why bother. But there's none of that here. I could easily have thought this song was original to them. My only, only complaint, and it's nothing to do with the band, it just sounds like the producer didn't really know what he was doing. The mixing and editing and continuity sound really muddy. We don't get to hear the pure sound of a more than competent band. Instead we're left with that feeling that the producer was the wrong choice, and be replaced. But, once again, that's nothing against the band. I really do love this cover song. The song means a lot to me emotionally, so to see it played by musicians and a singer who know exactly what they're doing, it's a bit of a rarity.
This heavy metal version of Peter Gabriel's song, Digging in the Dirt is awesome! Real cool. METAL LIVES!!!
