Sabaidee Ai Doug. Pretty cool event. My dad's uncle from the Royal Army era used to command a base there in Paksan. I remembered the base was just a couple miles down from a bridge crossing the Namsan. We lived on the base there for 2 years. I attended a Catholic school there somewhere along the Mekong River in Paksan. I don't know if the base and / or the Catholic school still exist. If not too much to ask, would it be possible if you can take a video of either the army base or the Catholic school there in Paksan. We were a military family and moved alot but our "banh" is basically "Banh Pun Mun" Sown Mon. A big fat thank you in advance! My childhood memory. Safe travel and thank you for sharing as always.🙏
@SaBikeDee Sa Baii Dee 🙏🏼 Thanks for telling me your stories ... The two things you want to know I got it already because I asked my friend, and they told me about the Royal Army base now, which became the big hotel in Paksan ( Vietnamese rent from the government to run the hotel business ) and the catholic school now became to primary or secondary school but the sign of Catholic school still there or not I am not sure ....the time I telling you it is already dark and I get ready to go back to Vientiane tomorrow, Let's see before I leave Paksan I can stop by to do a video or not Thanks again for following watching my videos, and interesting it 👌🤟💕🇱🇦🇺🇸👍
@@dougsaengchanh7146 Thank you for replying Ai Doug. I thank you either way. But thank you for the little clues. I used google satelite image and I believed I located the hotel location "Paksan Hotel" ( base .) It was close to the bridge and the back drop of the "base" was Nam San. It appears to be an old base basisng on the landscape. I remembered the right side of the hotel area was used as a helicopter landing zone. Pretty sure this is the former army base. Besides, it is the only hotel next to the Nam San river. It sure fits my memory recollection from the google satellite image map. No worries whether you can video or not. I am just happy to see it on the map whereabout these two places from my childhood memory that I spent so much time at. Thanks again. You have a safe travel and happy holidays to you and your family from the States! Take care.
@SaBikeDee It's great to hear from you that you can describe from Google satellite image .... But in another clip ( Paksan Rose ), I think I already have that hotel ( Royal Army base ) in my videos , and Catolic school in this video ( I imagine it still have the catholic school signs there along the Mekong river, but I didn't video it just video some school there because they got too many school in that area ..... Thanks for your wishes, and happy holidays to you and your family as well .... Good luck 👍 💓 ✨️ 💗
