- Join Kendall as he takes you to the little town of Ojai, CA. Along the way, learn the history of this beautiful community. We'll visit Libby Park, a creepy old cemetery (woof!) and other places that have helped this community get nicknamed Shangri-la.
Join Kendall as he and his friend, the video camera, take you on an adventure. The autistic artist, graphic designer and filmmaker shares some of his favorite places to visit. Normally not overly social, he comes to life when he has a conversation with the camera and his viewers. Kendall starts the adventures with a quick history lesson where you are bound to learn something new. He uses his God given gifts to bless the world, and encourages others to do the same. His motto is "autistic and gifted...God doesn't make mistakes".
This is one of the most charming, informative and fun videos I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks so much for making it!

Alright Kendall 👍🏼
Thanks for watching another video!
4:00 For those on motorcycles- we have parking for your bikes right on Ojai Ave. There is a water fountain and a bench right there and restrooms just a few steps into Libbey Park. 4:00
Thanks for the info. Always great when we can help others enjoy a visit.

It really is!
Hello Dana
How are you doing today?
I lived in Simi Valley for 10 years but never toured Ojai. Thanks for showing me the place.
My pleasure 😊
Ah yes my town
It's a great area!
I live in Ventura and travel to Ojai a lot . Thanks for teaching me so much about this town. I used to hang out at Libbey Bowl 🤠
Glad you enjoyed it! I was born in Ventura. Both are nice areas.
Hey mate! Ed Wood the director would've paid for that cemetery segment.👍
Ha ha, thanks for watching.
I live here!
It's a nice area!
@@adventureswithkendall sure is! But it’s hard to find a job…
@@bricecarroll1128 And any kind of affordable housing.
@@bricecarroll1128 You’ve got to know someone that knows someone. I know all about that.
I went to high school there when I first arrived in the US 😂
Great area!
Hi, can you please tell me if the actress Käthe von Nagy is burried in the Nordhoff cemetery?
www.findagrave.com/memorial/50396119/käthe-von-nagy
According to this site, her ashes were scattered.
@@adventureswithkendall thank you. I find this site too. Her funeral I assume was held there, at the Nordhoff cemetry?
I am interested to learn about her late life, in Ojai.
Ojai was my home for a very long time. Some of my family still lives there. When the pandemic hit, there were a lot of people from Los Angeles, with money, that moved to Ojai and it’s never been the same. Not in a good way either. They don’t understand what Ojai really represents. 😢
That's a shame.
@@adventureswithkendall it is a shame. And the private schools for children? My advice… don’t do it.
Not true, just depends on what you want to look at and how do you choose to look at it. That's your reality, not mine.
@@user-ke9yk5qp3u if you’re talking about the schools, I will agree. But as far as what I said about LA people taking away the charm of Ojai? That’s a fact.
@@user-ke9yk5qp3u are you from Ojai? Unless you’re in the schools up there how would you know?
this guy wears a cute little hat.
Thanks!
Every morning before school, me and my friends would always meet up in the graveyard, we would smoke a joint and then go to school. 😂😂 later I worked for the city of Ojai and I would set peoples ashes and place there tumb stones and also bury bodies there. Some of the graves go all the way back into the 1800s.
It's not the typical cemetery. It certainly has an old graveyard vibe.
I lived in the back area of Ojai near the Foster Freeze in the 1980's. There was a small community there. My parents had horses on a small ranch. I think they abandoned the house because the well water was polluted from the oil in the area. The house was scrapped and I think that entire neighborhood disappeared in the 1990's.
Oh wow, I didn't realize the area had water issues. What a bummer.
@@rwdchannel2901 That's too bad that the house had to be torn down.
