When the film was released I was only 8 yrs old.. but still I remembered I watched this film with my family.. I remembered this scary scene. And also remembered many more audiences reconnected this scene with the death of Divya Bharti.. some of said that this was the story of late actress Divya Bharti..And Shilpa was make up like Divya Bharti & Srideviji..because Sridevi was the first choice for this movie.. any way come to the point I also remembered another incident.. That is when I was in college, some of my friends including me were chatting in terrace of the collage & a friend of mine was sitting on the terrace roof like Shilpa Shetty, and one of the college stuff had seen that, & shouted for not sitting like that and said ' Do you like to die like Divya Bharti!!'.. then I realised how much affected this scene as well as Divya Bharti's death..

Moumita Ganguly Namashkar Didi. Bhalo Achen? I was barely 20 months when this movie came out but grew up listening to the songs of this classic hit. Also I grew up knowing about Divya Bharti. Very Recently I came across some news and video about the last day of Divya. I must say I was badly heart broken and for some moments I got freezed. That led me watching this clip. But the only difference between this and Divya is that if not 3, atleast 2 monsters threw the Angel off the balcony. R.I.P angel Divya Bharti.
Ar didi apni happy thakben. Wish you all the very best :)

SRK is as phenomenal as ever. Forever, will be.
SRK has been thoroughly experimental while choosing scripts in the past. Unfortunately, anything out of mainstream was either underappreciated or rejected by mass audience. Eg, Paheli, Asoka, Raone, Fan, Dilse, Swades. These films explored multiple genres, where SRK's performance was promising too. Some of these films also contributed to VFX in India. But they didn't get the due credit. Hence, Happy New Year and Zero. We deserve it 🙂
Fantastic performances in Chak de, My name is Khan, Devdas, Anjam, Darr, Baazigar, Deewana, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Pardes, Yes Boss, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kal ho na ho, Main Hoon Na, Veer Zara, Don, Dear Zindagi... A man with a filmography like this has LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT more to offer❤️
SRK's body of work is amazing and I am waiting for his next film, where he will give me a chance to fall in love with him, again!

Watching this scene reminded me of the first time I had watched this movie, when I was posted to Infantry School, Mhow. We have an open air theatre there.
When this infamous scene arrived, all hell broke loose. The young officers started yelling, c'mon SRK, don't do it. There was a pandemonium, the screening had to be intervened to listen to a Moral Lecture from the DS body, also watching the movie.
Whether we call it the effect movies have on our psyche, or the sensitivity of the viewers, it left a lasting impression.

This was the scene that kept me from feeling truly sorry for the baazigar character. I wanted to feel sorry for him and understand his vengeance until he killed the daughter and other innocent people. Like what was the daughters fault in the father’s crime? He could have stuck to harming him only and getting the company back. Then he could have stayed alive perhaps. I didn’t understand what the point was of getting the company back if you can’t manage it as the last heir by dying or going to jail. I wish he had not murdered anyone, had stayed alive and had a true romance with one of the daughters who would help him defeat their fathers evil deeds. I think that would have destroyed the father even more. Otherwise because he murdered innocent people I feel like he may just be a psychopath as well. There was really no option for his character but to die in the end. Maybe I am just being idealist haha. But I feel like my version of the ending would have made me happier loool

But that’s the thing. People in vengeance turn blind. They don’t hold a moral compass no longer. Most of the films show that. When you are mad in fury, you don’t think about consequences. Shahrukh lost his father and sister both because of Chopra. His mother became mentally deranged for years. Anyone in his place wouldn’t think about just taking the company back. They would be burning with a desire for revenge and destroy whosoever is related to that person. He was not the hero but the anti-hero of this film. His actions may not have been right but he did have a very valid reason for seeking revenge.

If this film was made in the 70's or 80's. I would've cast, or my dream cast would be:
    Amitabh Bachchan as Ajay Sharma
    Sharmila Tagore as Priya
    Rekha as Seema
    Kader Khan as Madan Chopra
    Achla Sachdeva as Mrs Sharma
    Sachin as Ravi
    Amol Palekar as Inspector Karan
    Vinod Mehra as Vicky Malhotra
The director would be Ramesh Sippy or Prakash Mehra. Kishore Kumar would playback all the songs for Amitabh Bachchan. Lata Mangeshkar would playback for Sharmila Tagore. Hemlata and Asha Bhosle would give voice to Rekha. The music would be by RD Burman or Rajesh Roshan.
It would've been splendid if Baazigar was made in the 70s or 80s with Amitabh Bachchan in the male lead as Ajay Sharma. He would've done a fantastic job as anti-hero Ajay Sharma. Amitabh Bachchan was the best in anti-hero roles in those days.
