- Two way slabs are those slabs which are supported on all four edges.
In a two-way slab system, the primary reinforcing bars are provided in both directions to resist the bending moments. The loads on the slab are transferred to the supporting beams or walls, which distribute the load to the columns and ultimately to the foundation.

As we can see the beam top of the lapping zone is here to illustrate is wrong.. As far as i know, it must be placed in the middle of the beam and the bottom of the lapping zone of the beam should be L/3 at the edge of the beam. .. Pls correct me if I am wrong.
