- I'm still working on recruiting the JoAnn fabric ladies to help me do a sewing pattern book video, but until I get them on board here is a current sewing pattern book....me all alone..no talking..I hope you enjoy!! (I"m still working on several request videos I have said I was going to do....I haven't forgotten..I promise!!)
Why do I enjoy the pattern books so much? You're the only channel I've come across with these.
Me too. When I was younger and used to sew, my favorite thing was looking at those books, and listening to others leaf through them.
Love this one, especially at the end when it looks like you are trying to figure something out. 💞

I love the internet! Got up this morning got on Amazon looking for a plaid shirt and thought, I remember years ago you could wake up and go downtown Port of Spain (trinidad) and flip through pattern books...Gen X and Millennial women aren't learning to sew, not as many seamstresses so fabric stores hardly carry pattern books anymore... and here's your video on TH-cam ...Thanks

I ordered directly from their website, and if you order the current season vs. the upcoming season they are half off... and include shipping... the bigger , vintage, older one in another video, I got from Ebay and ended up costing me more.. ...so I recommend McCall's website ..hope this helps!

really as a kid, this is my first ASMR memory. sitting listening as my mom and sister flipped through the pattern books....did they have them in the basement of JCPenny?

Hi Sandra, ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian response..before I knew the term I just called it a sensation that I couldn't explain which included a feeling of relaxation and tingles when I encountered triggers that would start the sensation... page turning is a very common. trigger... there are several great resources out there and many you tube videos. ASMR is and will always continue to be quite specific to every individual... most of us have had it since childhood we just never knew others had it too... I first found out there were others about two years ago ...but even if you don't get the sensation, the videos are intended to be relaxing at the very least.
