The kind of bold big strokes of painterly looking oil sketch type look that you get in the paintings of yours I've seen is exactly what I've always liked in paintings, so I found this to be really valuable. Thanks!
Hey Daniel, your videos got me back into art a little while ago. Thanks for the videos, I hope you keep coming out with more vids. I'd love to ask you some art related questions sometime, if thats possible.
Daniel, Thank you for all your videos on ArtRage. I am an avid follower of you and ArtRage. I have a question; does not having the "real color blending " option checked affect the color output of an ArtRage painting.
@@DanielIbanez Wow thanks for the prompt reply. I have an ArtRage painting I want to make a giclee print from an online site called Giclee Today, but the colors printed are way darker than what I see on my screen. I was thinking that maybe the "real color blending" may have been the culprit. I will further investigate after I receive another print from them. By the way, do you critique ArtRage paintings? I am also a big fan of your painting style and am trying to push my work in that direction. Thanks for your time.
There seems to be weird issues with Artrage. For example, when I paint with a square/flat head oil brush, decreasing the stylus pressure results in the brush size tapering, which shouldn't happen, because I'm not using a pointed sable brush, and there's no setting to turn off that behavior. This is a huge problem because if I want to have a broad flat stroke that I gradually decrease the pressure to blend the current color on the brush with the color already on the canvas, I can't do it with the full width of the brush, as the brush head will taper and become smaller, resulting in a line. I don't know if this is just with my setup (using Xencelabs tablet), but if my pressure sensitivity is working fine, I don't see why this would happen. Also, brush designer doesn't work--I can't see any brushstrokes in the brush testing window, no matter how I change the settings. Any stroke I make leaves no marks in the brush testing window. These issues make it impossible for me to use Artrage, while Rebelle 5 has none of these issues, and the buttons to allow fast switching between painting, painting/mixing, painting/blending/blending/erasing makes it so fast and intuitive to use--especially when they can be activated with hotkeys.
I cant figure out how to make the brush to follow the stroke? How do u do that ... Its seems that u are using it both ways, when u need it does follow and its fixed when u dont?
It may be that my tablet has "tilt" functionality. That allows me to tilt the brush how I need to to get the brush head to rotate with my stroke. Is that what you mean?

Thank you 🙏🙏🙏!!! It won't change the color depth or output of the saved file. But I t will impact the way colors mix during the act of painting.

Can you make the canvas wet with liquid white or liquid clear in Artrage Vitae to paint wet on wet?
That is a very good idea!
Where is the brush link?

@@DanielIbanez ok, guess that's probably it, I use a ms surface tablet think it does not support the tilt function
so easy.. doh
