I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found - PROS - 1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants 2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate 3) Auto dimming IRVM 4) Excellent headlights CONS - 1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl. 2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement. 3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield. 4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT. 5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support. 6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.
I have Dzire zdi plus Amt . In pune city it gives 16 to 17 km but on high way 21 to 23 km. Tank to Tank method. Your balino gives good milage so don't worry about it ❤😊. Be Happy-go-lucky 😊😊😊😊😊

I don't understand why you are complaing about a mileage of around 20kmpl!! Compare with other cars in the segment. Auto start/stop system is nothing but a gimmick like the heads up display and it will only reduce the life of your battery and starter motor. Better disable it.

After 10 years people will remember this like they r remembering sx4 launched in 2007 becoz i dont think nxt gen Baleno will have these type of features..spcly hud display
All cars are good but safety is depend id you buy a low price car you will get O or 1 airbag ,if you buy a expensive car you will get two air bag or 6 also can be
No doubt maruti is offering good features overally car is also very nice but with my opinion go with tata, at some point you may feel underpowered but trust me, we shall not prioritise anything over safely.
