not sure if im supposed to talk about this, but back then, there was a controversy revolving around Tablo's educational background and speculations that his achievements were forged (which they refer to as Tajinyo - We demand the truth from Tablo). It really took a toll on not just him but his family, and his father passed away in the midst of everything, which he later confessed that Tajinyo played a role in his passing
he said in an interview that he made this for the young people and hoobaes (specifically bts) who had been inspired by epik high to follow their dream and become singers thus the "I hope the dream you dreamed because of me don't turn into nightmare when you wake up"

I had been an Epik High fan for almost a decade now. When this song was released, I really liked it but as time passes, I love it more and more. It's one of my favourite song of all time now. I had been an Epik High fan for almost a decade now. When this song was released, I really liked it but as time passes, I love it more and more. It's one of my favourite song of all time now. It makes me melancholic, hopeful, appreciative, and even a bit angry at myself at times. Such a wonderful song.
I felt like this song was written by Tablo to his daughter, Haru. Now I'm a bit confused by the MV, but I still can't stop thinking that these are the words Tablo wants to dedicate to his little Haru. "I lost one too many things, whatever you wish to become, I'll applaud you."
