Their growth time is more than 50 years. It is the best quality teak wood that is available today. It has a golden color, elegantly distributed grains, and a high amount of teak natural oils. It is the most durable type of teak wood among all.
What is a reason for more expensive teak wood?
The Basic Law of Supply and Demand Dictates Much of This High Cost. Teak is in high demand because of its properties. It is durable; water-, pest- and rot-resistant; has only minor shrinkage; doesn't corrode with steel; and very importantly, has a beautiful look, naturally weathering to a silvery-gray tone.
Teak is known for its incredible durability and water resistance. Teak has a high oil content, giving it the highest decay-resistance among all natural wood products. Teak is used for boat building, yachts, exterior construction, indoor and outdoor furniture, veneer, carvings, frames, and more.
You should be able to smell the natural oils, which generally smell like leather. The fragrance is one of the factors which make Teak wood great leisure for outdoors. Weight is another way to identify teak wood. If it is real teak wood, it will be very dense and moderately heavy.
Sheesham Wood.
Sheesham wood is obtained from a tree which is known by various names, like Indian rosewood tree, Dalbergia Sissoo tree, Penny leaf tree, and so on. It grows locally in India as well as in the sub-Himalayan region.
The major difference between Sheesham & Teak lies in their texture. Sheesham has a natural grain and marking with chestnut color. Teak Wood is known for its smooth texture and grain with a distinctive yellowish-brown color or reddiss colour which usually matures into a silver-gray patina finish.
