    I have to say.. I'm impressed by the sleek design template and general visuals.
    It took YEARS for Pokemon TCG to look as good as this (obvious inspiration).

    to explain the "sunkissed" thing, it says (transliterated) ssankiseudeu, eu is often used like japanese u as a null vowel. like skip in japanese phonetics would be sukippu, whereas in korean it would be seukip

    Very nice. Too many Magic inspired games and not enough Pokémon inspired ones.

      Realizing this honestly made me want to start production on my own Pokemon-Alike TCG game.
      It's still way too early of a project to be considered legit, but I can say this: Developing a Pokemon-Alike makes one realize just how important a 7-Card Hand Size can be, ESPECIALLY if playing a Unit/Minion/Monster is a free action.

    Was very surprised that the core rules are so solid! Sounds like a really well designed core that has a lot of crunch to it. 1 step above the complexity of pokemon, but still at a great level to play!

    Kohdok, I cannot believe you referred to those characters with the wrong names. I simply cannot forgive this. We can no longer be friends.
    Jokes aside, this is cool! I did not even realize there was a Cookie Run TCG, so you are bringing this information to the masses for me at least. I'm glad to hear you like it, I might give it a shot!
    I did look up the face cards of the other two decks; Strawberry Crepe and Eclair Cookie look like fun picks! Since Espresso Cookie seems to perfectly match his "magical nuke" role, i wonder if the green Crepe deck will be a little more defensive and the yellow Eclair deck might play more supportive, throwing buffs around. And while her card doesn't seem great, I am THRILLED to see Pistachio Cookie, one of my favorite cookies of all time, in the starter deck! I wish she'd come to Kingdom so much...

    If it's Pokemon-like does that mean the best meta decks are 90% item cards and two characters?

    Interesting, reminds me of the Yokai watch game tcg (the asian version). Ill be checking it out come release.

  • @ShadowEclipex
    @ShadowEclipex ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This game has a similar mechanic to one I was considering for my concept tcg.
    Where you have to have a character in play by the end of your turn. If you can't do so, you loose. Though I was/am having issues deciding what the other main win condition would be.
    I want another main win condition since with the early playtests, games could end to fast (ending in 3 turns) or take ages based on how lucky you got with your character cards.

    • @travisbuschette8609
      @travisbuschette8609 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That could certainly be one of the win conditions, but if you want it to be the primary win condition with the emphasis on creature combat, there should be a prize system like Pokémon, but have the person who just lost the creature draw a card instead. Then prize effects can be implemented (like flip effects in this cookie game).
      Another option depending on your combat system is to incorporate a life system. So damage to creatures take can also be deducted from a life total, and the first to zero loses.
      Without knowing your game, I can't come up with any more specific examples

    • @ShadowEclipex
      @ShadowEclipex ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@travisbuschette8609 Things I have considered so far are the Prize system (kinda like you suggested), and a Sheild system like Duel Masters and Digimon (probably not gonna use that one).
      ATM I am planning on using a pseudo life system where the Mana Well has life (instead of the player) and one of the win conditions is to "break" it, effectively preventing your oppenent from playing anything else.
      Still need to playtest that mechanic though.

    Hmm... The semi-Lifedecking approach is interesting, if worrying. I wonder if there if there's cards that let you sacrifice cookie health to grab cards?

    • @QKlilx
      @QKlilx ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Iirc yellow has a few cards that can remove cards from your break area and switch them with other stuff. Red is focused on damage and green is focused on resource manipulation. I'm really hoping they dig deeper into these ideas in the first and second sets. Also, in practice lifedecking works pretty smoothly. Again, I hope there are more cool flip cards and zone manipulation effects when the full set releases.
