It is great to watch the early price is right episodes. I was 11 when this was recorded. $1 over on the showcase would be heartbreaking. This episodes are still great 👌👍. Thanks for posting.
Oh yes over by $1 ,,😵💫 A big ouchie 😥 I feel bad, Hopefully she's gotten over it and as a happy and great life lol for sure😊
the contestant on the right must've been a bit pissed off. This was apparently an unexpected overbid by $1 How painful that can be?
Wow it's great to watch again Price Is Right episodes. I was 14 years old in 1974.
@@rickg882, I hear you.
$3600 dollars for a Gremlin? That thing must've been loaded with all the options.
That Gremlin had AC, so that it what made it so much more expensive than your typical Gremlin. It's a damned nice Gremlin.
This is what happens when you take the dollar off the gold standard! FIAT INFLATION!
🤣🤣🤣
Had a V8 in it too, one fast Gremlin!
That other $1 overbid was from October 19, 2004...and it was a double overbid that day, when Bob called it a "historic moment". (But then again, this episode is from before my time)
That's a heartbreaking loss as well of $1 overbidding.
No extra money for exact bid😬 Then, now they do. 👏👏1st $100 And then $500🤩
She could of won her showcase
Ouch!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!? One dollar!

The most painful Showcase overbid in the history of TPIR. You can't get anymore painful than that. Ever.
I know right? Aye curumba!
I don't know which is more painful: this one or the one from October 2004. Either way, Mr. Michael Taylor: *NO TECHNICAL WIN, EVEN IF IT WAS JUST BY A MEASLY BUCK!*
@@gameshowguy2000 I'd say the latter due to the fact that in October 2004, it was a double overbid. But either way, it hurts.
A window air conditioner and color TV were big deals in 1974. Not exactly unless you were lower middle class and living in a small wood frame home back then.
color TVs were still not in quite a few homes in the early to mid 70s. Few had full sized ones (25") even then. Also, there were still many living in homes without central air conditioning.. so having an extra window unit helped.
Wow outstanding quality for being 50 years old
