As an Australian who held various senior executive positions with Japanese Automotive Companies (No Names - No pack drill), I visited Japan many many times. Japan is still my favourite holiday destination and I've enjoyed these videos. I was lucky enough to do 2 laps in a Formula Suzuki in the early 2000s and it was amazing. The car culture in Japan is awesome and its in contrast to here in OZ.
The biggest difference is no ego in Japan, compared to Australia. I have permanent residence in Japan as an Aussie, so I’ve seen a fair bit of both countries, especially car culture stuff.
@@TH-camAreJewz The level of respect people have for each other and the world in general is like another universe in japan vs America. Great trip to Japan mate.. I saw the BELLETT early in the video mate. Ive got my grandads Bellett 1500 he bought new in 1967 and has been handed down to my dad then my daughter. Dont see too many around over here in West Oz. Keep up the great content and HI to Al
Pretty sad seeing all the shit comments about how the channel has turned to shit i feel all these comments don't understand how hard it is to create content like this its not easy at all let alone all the workshop prep work etc. woody ya doing a great job mate just know all the true subscribers and fans will stick with ya. I hope all you guys know as well big brother (al) is probably watching so yer be on ya best behaviour in the comments or he will start keyboard cating you the real ogs will know what i mean. 😂
Yup, he's gotta keep that YT algorithm treadmill going while he gets everything else sorted (not knocking the content he has released, it's interesting to see something a bit different from time to time) just facts of life for a TH-camr these days.
Hey Woody! Loving the new content keep up the work aye. Iv been watching weekly since you guys started and was definitely worried about the channel when Al retired from the lead post. Worry no more I reckon you’re smashing it!
Dont worry about the people that have left cos Al left, Woody. Just keep working hard putting your heart and passion into these vids. I love this vid showing an interesting part of Japanese car culture I've never heard of.
despite the naysayers in the comment section I'm enjoying the content. Variety is the spice of life and if that means actually watching some unknown racecars go round a circuit in Japan then I'm all for it. Remember kids seeing something that you've got no idea about is cool...
Top work Woody, to echo a few previous comments ignore the naysayers! Some people can't handle change, the rest of us are here for the ride whatever it may be ;-)
Based on 25 years of racing games, I freaking love Suzuka. It feels like a home circuit for me lol. I'd love to go drive it in any car, really, but these open wheelers look incredibly fun! Thanks for taking us along, both Jamie and you
Loving the variety of content that you’re providing now Woody. I head back to Japan for karate in December so for my car fix I plan on visiting the Mazda museum while in Hiroshima. Keep up the good work mate 😀
Hours of Serenity, all that was missing was Darryl Kerrigton popping up. 😂😂 But Im guessing the Mics didnt love the 2 Strokes. This just goss to show the breathe and depth of the variety of Cars in Japan, also to the drivers and crew for getting these out on track and used, not jusy hidden away.

How long you goign to stay in Suzuka mate :D Im inside the F1 paddock would be nice to meet you. I did not know there is such event happening besides F1 :D
Mate, check that your recorded video speed/fps, editing fps and export fps all match. I'd recommend setting this to 30. Or if they already do, test out shooting with a longer shutter speed to get a bit more motion blur and less jerky motion. Otherwise brilliant stuff. Thanks for the quality content throughout the years!
Pretty nice video, very hands on style. Only critique I have is that the sound could be better, some sort of clip on mic probably would help. I'm no English native, and actually have a hard time understanding you here as the voices sound rather "tinny" if that is a word.
This video made me feel ashamed for having Rota Shakotans Loving some of the blog style content, but also keen to see you get back into it with the projects.
I didn't think skid factory could get more boring than watching the paint dry on the new shed floor ...... yet here we are. Get back to the builds Woodsy. I'm trying to give ya time after Turbo Yoda left but quickly finding it hard to bother tuning in each week.
Well done mate! Great contribution. Myself and many others really enjoyed this Japan content. One could only imagine how big of a challenge it must be for Woody and the Skid Factory after Al has left. Give him a bit more support and if you find the Skid Factory is not for you anymore, then just leave quietly and keep your nasty comments to yourself.

Hey Scottie, I know the recent content posted has been very different to the normal “Build series” type of videos. Please respect that I’ve been putting in some serious hours to transition this channel into a new beginning including setting up the whole new workshop and working on a bunch of builds behind the scenes. I’ve got some legendary friends helping me out but for the most part I’m a solo content creator and releasing weekly videos isn’t an easy task. The channel will never be what it once was but I still have a massive passion for anything automotive and will continue to produce content and post it here on TH-cam. Sometimes that video might be a simple service on a car or it could be a Supercharged LS powered Patrol. Other weeks I might just visit a famous racetrack in Japan to checkout some historic open wheeler race cars.. That you for continuing to watch The Skid Factory and stay tuned for some builds that I’ve been working on! 👌👌
Obviously its not gonna be the same without ol'grumpy. Its ok to not enjoy the changes, if its not for you its not for you. If you were watching to get 'old wise man' advice then this channel is no longer relevant, idk if its sad but its the way it is. I understand why woody is doing vlog content while he is getting set up, just to get content out. Im hoping the channel goes back to being build focused, but we will see what the future brings. I'd be fine if the channel does a lot of event coverage as well, aussie car culture is sic.
The truth is your comment is unnecessary and hard to read with your barely intelligible grammar. Your version of the truth is not applicable to all of the Skid Factory viewers. I for one am enjoying the different types of content Woody is making. As for the "driving force" comment I believe that Woodreeguss was the videographer and editor of Skid Factory version 1.0 and without him there would not have been a Skid Factory at all. Anyway Scottie, all the best mate with all the free content you are pumping out.....
