- A woman murdered her boyfriend then invited his worried mother over as his body lay in a makeshift grave in the back garden.
As Fiona Beal entertained her guest, Nicholas Billingham’s body was lying just a few feet from where his mother Yvonne Valentine was sitting.
Beal pleaded guilty mid-trial at the Old Bailey on Friday to the murder of Billingham, 42.
She had earlier admitted manslaughter, claiming that she had experienced a “loss of control” when she killed Billingham, adding that they had a “coercive” relationship.
The Old Bailey heard that the 50-year-old had lured Billingham into the bedroom with the promise of sex, tied him to the bed with cable ties and stabbed him in the neck. She then hid his body and told friends and family that he had left her for another woman.

Yes, it appears odd to an onlooker but it is classic, Textbook DSM D.I.D. symptoms seen in this elderly lady. It is deeply traumatic for the murdered man's mother, to repeatedly relive the horrors of what she felt when she first found out, so it appears that part of her mind has split by putting those horrifying memories into a psychologically sealed-off compartment in the mind,, allowing her to talk in a disconnected way to onlookers.

I smiled when my son was born and passed away, I was trying to put on a brave face for everyone else, I'd cry in private. I felt like I shoukdnt show emotion to anyone. Maybe it's how we're raised. To look strong or brave. But I realised I shouldn't care what anyone else thinks. In that precious moment I should have done what was natural without suppressing it
