Sagar had only one day to spend wid gukkiee so he went met him shot that video then went on a lunch then bumgieee jumping then had a small walk wid him then dinner then ice cream and then took uncle's, mom's, dad's, grandfather's, ding's, coach gaju s interview and then in the midnight at 1 he took gukesh's interview that too of 3 hour's omggggg poora singapore jane ka ticket paisa vasoolll what a productive day mann as he managed to shoot their fresh emotions ❤
What a man, doesn’t show an iota of emotion but I’m sure he has them inside. Sacrificed his own life, career for his son. Thinks what his son thinks and mentality. Great man.
The sacrifices the parents had to make are unbelievable. Their old interviews are a great watch looking back. Thank you, Sagar for documenting this special journey.
I can truly see the resemblance of Rajni in Gukesh’s wisdom , he is such a great dad , his unwavering support as a parent really instills so much confidence in Gukesh. ❤
Witnessing Magnus & Gukesh's journeys, it's clear their fathers' sacrifices were instrumental in their success. Behind the glory of being world champions lies a story of dedication & sacrifice. Both fathers gave up their careers to nurture their sons' talent. Wishing Rajni sir continues to support Gukesh on his path to becoming the best! The future is unpredictable, yes i see a lot of similar attributes. Exciting times ahead for Gukesh!"
12:07 true Indian father 😂 Wants best for his child but can see how good opponents are and what mistakes his kid is making. "न अतिशयोक्तिः" No exaggeration don't praise your child too much This principle, often found within the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, emphasizes the importance of balance and avoiding excessive praise or criticism. Moderation is the key ! So he is there to support and ever present for his child but not give too much advice in the craft
What suprised me the most is how nonchallant and stoic Mr Rajnikanth is even after his son did the greatest thing in the world of chess he didn't let his emotions get the better of himself he maintained his calm and composure now it makes sense how stoic gukesh is... Truly an incredible person
I feel so good for Gukesh, that he is having such supportive parents and so good to see his father for the time. Talking so nicely and it's already shown that how much he proud on his son.❤❤❤
Gukesh will indeed get to know a lot about their parents from these videos, honestly. Being a teenager, i can actually inderstand the psychological issues going with gukesh. Both sides have their points, but it's still interesting to see how gukesh handles small misunderstandings and such extreme emotions with atmost poise, during tournaments. It's never easy to not argue with your parents, especially in your teenage...but ig gukesh is doing the right job by trying to think from his parents perspective and understand their sacrifices and emotions. Kudos to the fellow teenager to do this with ease, it's still not easy for me
8:53 for someone who doesn’t have much chess knowledge, he showed more chess knowledge and objectivity than 99.999% of general fans, media journalists and Vladimir Kramnik
The best part about this video was knowing that Indian players offered help when I saw many on reddit speculating that they all must be envious so they will never accept the offer to work as his second. Selecting seconds obviously depends on many factors and maybe they wanted unpredictability as one factor so they went for Keymer. But the fact that instead of feeling jealous, they offered that they will help if needed is a big deal bcz chess is an individual sport.
Thanks to chessbase India for their beautiful covering of every moment of this entire journey ...that father son hug was literally the best thing that could ever come on internet
My dad’s name is Rajnikant too, and he is also a surgeon. But his son is nowhere close to Gukesh in chess strength. 😂 Thank you Sagar and Amrita for another much awaited conversation. ❤
May be there’s some other talent in you and your parents haven’t recognised it ! Not everyone can be GukeshChessChampion But everyone can be GukeshThePerson - discipline, working for what he wants, respecting others, being presentable, no cheating, speak true and soft. This can be achieved !!

Gukesh's father is so frank. But looks very hard task master.

Stithpragaya is the word. Not overly happy not overly sad in any situation.
I now know. How come Gukesh has nerve of steel.
Gukesh is blessed to have a good father like you. You are a very responsible and a matured parent. God bless your family.

Ultimate blend of firmness and coolness. Shows the mindset of how to be goal-oriented and yet be detached to maintain composure.
Absolutely, Shiva is with this family. 🕉🕉
Seems like Guki will also know a lot about his dad through this interview ❤❤

Congratulations Dr.Rajnikanth!!! Well done!!! Amazing achievement!
I have become a fan of Mr. Rajni. Appreciate his analytical, straight talk. He reminds me of my dad. He is also low key hilarious. Kudos, Sir.
You are an amazing father sir 💓❤
Hats off to you sir. You are truly an hero and inspiration for every father around. May every kid blessed with such father🙏🏻

Glad that he is so different from Hemant Mishra ❤
No drama, just point blank answers. Even when Sagar tried to dramatize and make things emo, he was just plain honest
Thanks to chessbase India for their beautiful covering of every moment of this entire journey ...that father son hug was literally the best thing that could ever come on internet

In India, it's extremely rare to see parents supporting their kids for a sport. Hatss off to Dr. Rajnikant 🇮🇳❤
If u r prodigy ,shown sign of greatness at early stage then I guess most the cases they will support you
After candidates, he lost once with white, worried bit that time
❤
Of course his dad's name is Rajnikanth lmao
