Dude I'm glad you mentioned this, people are always waking me up in the middle of the night after a big night out and showing me chess positions and asking me which I prefer.
Its the Croatia custom of šahovsko buđenje. You get woken up, drink pivo, eat some meat, go for a swim, and talk chess for 42 minutes. Fascinating culture.

Great video as always, Agadmator! The saying you were thinking of is probably "It ain't over 'til it's over." It's usually credited to Yogi Berra and perfectly captures the unpredictable nature of chess. No matter how certain a position looks, there's always room for surprises until the final move. That's what makes chess so exciting and keeps us on the edge of our seats!
Wow nice move from Hikaru that Alireza miscalculated surprisingly I guess he can blame it on all the scrambling moves previous letting his guard down unfortunately for him Much thanks for the Game Have a Great day 😊♟️‼️
at 4:32 after black knight captures on D4, why not white rook captures on c8? Then black rook recaptures, then white knight with the fork to e7 winning the 2nd rook. Now white is up the exchange with a rook and knight, vs black with bishop and knight.
It's an on going meme now about Alierza and rook and king and pawn endgames , you already covered it and covered the game where Magnus was teasing him about his knowledge about that endgame and they both started laughing Hikaru knows about that and he used is to it's best , that's the most amazing factor about human games
Alireza vs mvl was amazing tactical game... also alireza vs hikaru (first match) was amazing But you show this boring game that he loss... Over all alireza playing fan favorite tactical game... please show his great winning games
I think it's interesting that alireza wins against strong opponents in a tournemt and agad showa him losing in a blunder. I don't understand the bias of agad against alireza
Agadmator has already said he’s a big Alireza fan actually you people that are crying because it’s a game he lost sound like a bunch of prima Donna’s to me start a petition or better yet make a suggestion #
Bro it’s one game all you Alireza fans crying go get some tissues and wipe your tears he lost a game he’s a great player that has been on a hot streak but he lost so it made sense to show this game it did to me Get over yourselves
Agadmator is slow these days. Also i have realised that his explanations are not that detailed when compared to levy or nakamura. I know he wont take this comment seriously as its a slight criticism.
His explanations are much more detailed than Levy, but maybe not as deep as Hikaru. But he's very structured, which helps you make connections across different games.

If you show great chessgames to your friends at the bar, this is what you will get a few hours later. 😂😂
The only one who can stop Alireza is Alireza himself.
Magnus 😊
The most stupid comment
Magnus eats him for breakfast
That's why he lost candidate 😂😂

Lost against MVL.
Alireza beat him twice@@simonemiglioli1165
I suspect the Hikaru games he covers are very popular given Hikaru's general popularity.
*Alireza even his best form couldn't deny ANISH his draw....*
The legends are true
Drawish Giri is Drawish Giri.
What Agad wanted to say was:
“it’s never over till the fat lady sings”
The way Naka looked when Alireza blocked with the rook was also amazing! It was like : Whaaaat?
Ali, pragg, gukesh and all other great young talents have my hopes really high for the future of chess
Don't forget noderbik abdusattrov
After the game, The Great Hikaru held 2 magic shows, and needed a volunteer.

I enjoy lining up my pieces in alphabetical order according to height.
I think alireza has the potential to be the greatest of this generation
get past 6th place in the candidates first
Clear case of Hikaru's experience, in bullet in particular, winning here.
You 'tricked' us lol
"That's not how we roll on this channel"- I absolutely can vouch for this. No click bait for Agadmator.
Wow, Hikaru got really lucky there. Pretty unexpected ending.

This isn't even a tactic, it's a straight up blunder.
@@dilejjja yeah that’s true straight up Blunder more than anything else Alireza somehow did not calculate before he took the Rook ??

Outstanding
Hikaru hit him with the whammy
Theory is theory, you still have to prove the position is winning because we all make errors.
Pls cover his wining match too
Alireza reaction knew he lost immediately after the move.
Ali the chosen one ❤
0:08 takes a dig against Levy 😅, master of clickbait
It's a draw until someone makes a mistake and someone takes advantage of that mistake.
Didn’t Magnus predict this from Alireza?

It's Alireza's fault. It was a draw and he got greedy.
Give Hikaru Credit he’s a master of tactics and caught Alireza out there like you say reaching
@@michaelmassaro4375 Yep and he's quick, so he had time to play a little mind game. It worked.

He doesn't go into details since it's a rapid evfnt not classical
I disagree, did you not watch? He explained the end game (the most important part of this match). To each their own I guess 🤷♂️. Well done Agadmator.
