The problem showed in the video is from CodeTON Round 4 which was held 8 months ago. There are video editorials on TH-cam explaining it which are most definitely in its training data.
They need to test these models with original problems which don't already have solutions in the training data...

If companies and corporations look at your "projects" as a way of determining you are good at programming or capable to do the job in order to get hired, but all your projects are done with AI or substantially by AI will it even matter anymore for getting hired? If i have 100 projects that are really good on my GitHub and all are made by AI or with the help of AI and i could not do them on my own without AI then will the company still hire me based on my projects and experience? Yet again if AI exists that can write code better than 90% of all programmers on Earth then why hire more programmers when you can have a smaller team and automate the job of thousands saving money and making more profit for the company. There are so many questions to answer over the coming years with this improved and capable tech.

Each person should have an AI that can hear what you hear and see what you see all the time, in this way the AI knows everything you know, it know when you last ate, what you ate, it know about that meeting your coworker talked about, etc... this would be revolutionary if implemented IRL. You wouldn't need a Calendar to keep track of things, the AI does it for you. You don't need to look up recipies, the AI does it for you, it even guides you when you're making it in real-time! THIS is the future I want.
and imagine how much DATA and statistics you could gather from a person, what sites they are browsing, how often they stay on them, what stores they visit, what they buy, literally your entire life can be tracked, what you talk about in conversations, who your friends are... ALL OF IT !!! Google Deepmind make it happen ASAP. I want an AI available to me 24/7, I want it to wake me up in the morning, tell me what to eat, what to wear, what to do (based on all my history)!!!!! the point is to NEVER be disconnected from the systems, i don't want to have to take up my phone to interact with my AI, it should constantly be involved in my life and improve it at every turn.

One of the problems with using GPT-4 is that the methods are limited. If you ask it to search for something that exists in the real world and create an image of it, it will always stay in the mold you created before and repeat your mistakes. Make a small improvement and GPT-4 moves on to another chapter, or make a small improvement and suddenly the paradigm shifts. Gemini hopes to avoid repeating these GPT-4 mistakes. I think Google has an advantage because they have years of experience data from tons of people, but as they say, with great expectations come great disappointments, so I will always look at GEMINI with a filter of caution.

certainly not unless you (speaking generally not talking about you as yourself) are just another guy who did a MERN course and got a job, it will be more nuanced, more knowledge for entry roles will be required, people will be either working on legacy code (with lesser pay) or top tier engineering solutions with the help of these tools (with higher pay since problems we would be solving would be bigger). People would actually be good for such roles unlike Bootcamp grads or university students who don't know an ounce of real world stuff which is the current trend. It would be just like how it happened with the evolution of the internet, so called obsolete jobs will die but nothing dies in an instant it will take maybe in a decade or so. It's basically now or never, if actually interested we would be in a good place in a decade in terms of jobs (for people who start asap).

@@Niblss It's astounding to me how naive people are to this fact. Maybe it's just apathy or ignorance for the general population but I feel like I'm walking around in an alternate reality.
An AI that is smart enough to deliver the Shangri-la that people are fantasizing about is also smart enough to do what 90% or more of all cognitive workers do. And we don't live in world with political or economic systems that are compatible with infinite cognitive labor orders of magnitude faster and cheaper. Perhaps future generations will, but we don't.

@@wonmoreminute The main problem is that AI can generate endless amounts of knowledge work for everyone.. but it can't generate food for you to put on the table, so it'll still be a limited resource that you now have nothing to offer in return for.
And our society is not made to hand out limited resources to people for free.
      Anyway, good luck

Depends what you mean by Golden Age. I sit in a refinement meeting discussing a story for 25 minutes and I know the work will be mundane and simply copying best practices from another repo, which will take me a couple of hours to do. I know an AI listening in could already have the PRs ready for me to review by the end of that refinement meeting if it was just listening in! Golden Age to me would be getting to do more creative problem solving and letting AI handle mundane work!

You can probably still get a job , at least for a few years, or months if nothing else. Should give you some money. As for what to do next, there is no good answer. Everyone will try to go into those fields, and there is a reason people got away from those manual labor jobs in the first place ( it didnt pay very well when everyone went into them)
I wish i could give you a more hopeful and helpful answer, but i have nothing to give there. I really do wish you come out the other side okay, sincerely.
