Anyone else love how optimistic he is? When I play sports I get way too competitive and get mad but he stays happy and it gives off a really good vibe, I better be more like him.

That being said, there's many levels of competitiveness, and just the competitiveness itself won't do much good unless one is willing to work hard and being able to control one's emotions. For some people the competitiveness takes over emotions and impulse control, and it often becomes counterproductive and only builds unnecessary anger and frustration. PS. I am a very competitive person and more often than not it's an asset. Obviously every now and then I get a bit too intense, but the good thing is that I cool down as fast as I heat up. Heat of the moment, you know.

The very best in what they do are the ones who are super competitive, but they also have a certain kind of character: their competitineness drives them in a positive direction, it makes them train and work harder and always wanting to improve. When there's a bit more volatile and emotional temperament, the competitiveness might drive them on a negative path of anger, frustration, impulsiveness and misbehaviour. That's always going drain energy, which means less energy and focus on trailing andnimproving. In my opinion the very best competitors compete only against themselves. Say Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Alexander Barkov and such. They're all super competitive, but also super focused. They don't waste energy on negativity nor misdirect their frustration on opponents, instead they're laser focused on identifying and isolating the area of self-improvement. They can harness that counterproductive energy and use it for motivation. PS. I'm not an expert on any of this stuff, just sharing my personal views. ✌️
