    I'm not a beginner to euro nymphing, in fact i've been doing it poorly and all sorts of wrong for about 18 months now, so like I've got 40 hours experience. go me. The thickest is my friend, though i've replaced the tippet ring with a micro swivel and now I can tangle in the bushes like a pro! Serious note, they are awesome and I grab one or two every few weeks =)

    Thanks Lance, great content as always. Would love to see a video where you put everything together and show leader from fly line to tippet.

    If anyone is into tenkara and familiar with the Japanese level lines and materials these from the looks and sound are very similar. When I first started euro nymphing two years ago I was already accustomed to making my own lines for tenkara so I transfer my knowledge over....very close to what he is doing/ talking about here! I'm looking forward to the easier availability of getting this leader material rather than sourcing right from Japan great news

    What is the stiffness comparable to for the butt section material. Is it as stiff as maxima?

    • @Lanceeganflyfishing
      @Lanceeganflyfishing 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A bit less stiff than chameleon IMO, and easy to release memory.

    I’ve got a Euro Nymph fly line on my rig. It’s got a tiny loop to attach leader. What knot would you recommend to attach this leader to my fly line?

    Nice euro nymphing ready made leaders 👍
    By the way, any euronymph line you would recommend ?

    12lb looks to have the same diameter as 8lb Amnesia. Interesting 🤔

    • @Lanceeganflyfishing
      @Lanceeganflyfishing 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Correct. Amnesia 8lb is .011”. High quality Japanese copolymer nylon used for the umpqua leader material is also .011” in the 12 pound option. 👍

    I picked up the 12lb butt material and the 8lb sighter material. I’m wondering what a good length for the 8lb sighter would be? I plan on using this as a longer mono rig with about 24ft of butt material and then a sighter. Thanks guys.

    Is the butt material brightly colored enough to effectively serve as a sighter? so could I just use the butt material, a tippet ring, and my tip it, without tying in a dedicated sighter piece?

    • @Lanceeganflyfishing
      @Lanceeganflyfishing 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The butt material is bright and is useable as a sighter, but I don’t find it as visible as the opaque dedicated sighter material so I still add sighter to my setup.

    I’m new to euro. Any advice on how much tippet to add past the tippet ring.

      Starting place is 1 1/2 - 2 times the estimated depth from tippet ring to point fly.

    i fish a 6wt 9ft rod. mostly fishing fast deep water with wet fly. and small streamers. need to get down fast so mostly using
    weighted bugs. what would you recommend on a line setup for my tackle.

    • @Lanceeganflyfishing
      @Lanceeganflyfishing 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like maybe you’re not using a euro rig. With a 9’ 6 weight I’d try a bounce rig.

      I use fluoro in little size.
      It s just compare enter situation.
      And vicdessos is river in french for the french World Champion
