I was terrified at all those jumps- Like was the kid gonna fall and break a bone? No! This little champ did it. What a legend, man. We're gonna see him in the world cup soon.
See I hope all the possibilities for this kid but it’s not the talent u compete with on these extreme sports but yourself and your limits. One wrong move and ur career is over. I have seen first hand so many prodigies like this get too comfortable with their skill (especially younger kids who aren’t fully developed physically) and make one 1 wrong choice that decides the rest of their life. I hope we see this kid make it to the professional circuits. Amazing talent on that bike.
Watching this video I remember when I almost got hit by a train. I was sooo drunk....and I was going to buy some beers. I just lost my balance and fell. I was lucky.
Regrettably, that same trait will lead to his down fall, without a doubt. He won't even see it coming. Might be on a trail he's done dozens of times before.
I used to work at a rock climbing gym with a 33' roof. We had a 2.5 year old make it all the way to the top one year. The next year when they had come back (he was about 3.5) he couldnt make it past our 10' line because he was afraid (rightly so at that age and height). You say its because he doesnt know self preservation at 11, but when you are THAT good at something you can do it without needing to be afraid because he knows what hes doing. (He did get bucked pretty good on that one jump though haha). That is the result of hundreds of hours of practice, he's a way better rider then I am but it's not because theres a lesson he hasn't learned yet.
He will eventually make a mistake. They always do. He will become overly confident and push his limits.. and for what? Even the so-called best in the world always end up crashing and burning. Just watch all the videos on TH-cam that chronicle this fact. Something as simple as a mechanical problem on the bike could have devestating effects. Ego is one of the biggest killers of young men...and even older men!
How he has amassed that much skill in such a short time is amazing. The body movement, the timing, the reaction time, the spatial judgement and visual perception skills that are required for such high speed and yet nuanced riding is obvious a combination of natural ability and learned skill. I'm still shaking my head on how well he descended the Leogang track. 🤷🏻♂️ #superbe Curious to know what his time was on the different sectors compared to the World Cup Riders. That young man just might be a future DH world champion. 👍
Quick search shows top rider from 2019 qualifying at 3:25 for Junior division. I know you mentioned times for individual splits but this is all I found.
Outstanding performance young man. The thing that stands out most to me about his amazing performance is the fact that you can see pushing harder and harder at every opportunity as if he had the hounds of hell on his tail. Drive on young man break those barrier's.
I remember a kid like this when I was BMX racing years ago - tiny little guy who was fast as lightning, could catch huge air off the smallest jumps and had superb control in corners - they are a wonder to behold!!
Incredible! I showed my 4 year old son the vid and he was so stoked as he's been hitting some intermediate downhill trails on a Prevelo 16 inch and flow trails with a Stacyc eMX 16.
Kid your amazing never watched any videos of yours but this is your career take it by the horns and own it become the next worlds best, you are loving the sport and that's what its all about
I'm officially blown away by what I just witnessed! ELEVEN YEARS OLD?! Within that culture that's probably not unique, but I have honestly NEVER seen anything like that and I'm officially impressed by his fearlessness and enthusiasm 👍🏽
@@rondridealmeria Agreed. But you have to admit that there is a huge difference when you're young and still believe yourself invincible. Once you turn 50 and have a bad crash like I did last year, breaking a bunch of bones in the process, you subsequently have concerns about wrecking again. A young boy like this guy can have the same crash and bounce a few times, get back on the bike and keep rippin' down the trail. I remember the days of my youth and my confidence, but I also know now that I'm not invincible. There is no doubt the kid is supremely talented, and talent combined with skill generates confidence. I am just jealous of his youthful ability to take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. 😁😁👍👍
@@Twitch0331 I wish I would have taken better care of my body when I was young and crazy, I hurt like crazy now at 60, I snap, crackle and POP when I get up in the mornings from all the punishment from being overconfident as a kid ....LOL
Insane filming skills! I know its a high end GoPro or something, but to ride that close, that fast, and not be to close or to far back to get all the action is impressive.
@@leogrisel agree completely... All the money in the world won't compensate him for the devastating injuries he will eventually succumb to. Think of the lifelong regrets both he and his parents will have when that day comes. The kid will keep on pushing his luck until the day Lady luck collects her dues.
oh, to be 11 and fearless. plus at that age everything heals faster. but jokes aside, this kid has great technique. watch him put the rear wheel where it needs to be. hats off!
Oh, to be 11 again, and fearless, and live in the Alps, and have a four figure DH rig. In all other aspects this could be me, but it's not. The skill and confidence is mind-blowing.
I noticed that because of his young age he has lower body mass and the aero drag has more effect on him than an adult. But because of that he is also nimbler trough the corners. Great ride, really really great ride.

breaking a few bones isn’t what i would fear of for a 11 Yo but yh that was amazing
There were cuts in video, so he probably fucked up somehow :D
