- We know about Kenpachi Zaraki, Retsu Unohana and some even know about Kenpachi Kiganjo, however very few fans of the series are familiar with the other former Kenpachi members who are mentioned within the Bleach novel series Spirits Are Forever With You. In this video I breakdown and explain everything that we know about the 8th Kenpachi, Soya Azashiro. Talking about his role within the novels, what kind of Kenpachi he was, as well as his insane goal that he has. So join me as I talk about a member of the infamous Kenpachi Lineage, someone not many Bleach fans know anything about.

Man, Soul Society 250 years before main story timeline really gave a heavy Star Wars Old Republic vibes. Really curious to what was going on during that time period aside from the Azashiro Clan slaughter.

@@nato785 I wasn't really paying attention to the video. I just heard he fought Kurayashiki which is like 250 years ago before main story. Suddenly he's out and about causing trouble in the time skip before fullbring arc. So I was mainly confused with when Azashiro story was set in time. I thought when Azashiro was in muken as well, Aizen was either lieutenant or before Aizen was in Gotei 13.
The most overpowered broken bankai has not been seen yet.
And that... is also a part of his plan.
The kenpachi he beat, his bankai devours anything and everything within space, it's a hard counter for azashiro. Azashiro admits he would have lost if that kenpachi went bankai from get go. He was also offered division 0 seat
Which means he took advantage of the location in order to win.

Not really lol. if you match the timelines it isn't a mess. honestly perfectly balanced.
This guy's bankai is indeed one of the strongest in the entire soul society but he can still be defeated. also there are kido's the counters reishi so if he fought against that he loses.. also he hard loses to literally any Quincy lol. Blut Protects them from physical and internal and they are Reishi destroyers.
The only Power Level mess is Kenpachi Zaraki's cuz he doesn't know his own strength and his reiatsu. like for example Byakuya knows how strong his Reiatsu is and it's limits so he compensates with technique.
Kenpachi Zaraki's power is limitless in a sense his limit is he matches enemy power so if he got one shotted on first interaction he loses lol.
This is also before Blood war this is like when Ichigo lost his powers vs Aizen and is now in Fullbringer arc.
And almost all the captains have broken powers against certain enemies they are trash though. same for this guy. pretty fleshed out character too.
Also Ichigo.. well Ichigo's powerlevel is also somewhat same as Kenpachi that he has insane strength due to being hybrid.

SAFWY is so good.
The best part is that these OP Villains literally treat Muken as some sort of Hotel and Dragon Ball's Room of Spirit and Time and not some nigh eternal Prison. Aizen literally was stuck inside it in a year and the dude grew so much powerful he literally able to Swap hands with Soul King Juha Bach.
He also resembles the Soul King, and some of his ambitions were inspired by the soul kings original agenda pre gotei 13.

That is extremely debatable dude, we have no idea what the SK had originally intended, he slaughtered a shit ton of Hollows because he found them a direct danger towards humans or whatever it was he was protecting, it's only when the nobles felt the imbalance that they began to talk to him, however his intentions were never made clear and he simply gave himself up for their plans and that's basically how it went according to Ichibe. If the SK did want to rule the world or completely eradicate hollows he would do so with a simple thought, Ichibe even makes it clear that it's baffling why someone who had every means to do practically anything without a single obstacle, surrendered to a bunch of insects who wished to enslave him due to their fear of his existence alone, it doesn't make sense to him why he surrendered.

Holy shit the fact that he did that at the end is crazy to me. The idea of him and Aizen having those conversations is so fascinating and makes me wonder what other beings are possibly in Muken. If he ever returns he would be one of the most powerful characters depending on how he changes through his training.

To think even years after the Bleach manga has ended there's still this much substance to take in from this series. This character seems sick and I would love to see him in the anime or at least an official translation of the original novel.

Tite kubo is very passionate about his creation. And has kept writing characters, powers, looks, and stories. A lot of them are for the mobile game bleach: brave souls. I’ve been playing it for near 7 years now.edit: I wrote this before seeing the bud, but roughly 5:05 into the video there’s footage from bleach brave souls lol

I find it interesting that at the end of this novel Azashiro remains alive. I’ve been feeling that if Bleach continues into the ‘Hell Arc’, the Soul Society has become pretty underpowered following the end of the thousand year blood war. An Azashiro who has been training for what his spirit perceives as thousands of years would be an asset of unfathomable proportions. On the other side tho is scary, because to write a story with protagonists like him, Zaraki, Ichigo, and even potentially Ichigo’s son depending on the abilities he grows with, we would need and even more insurmountable threat than even Ywach.
Speaking of people training secretly, from CFYOW there's a red haired shinigami who has been training in a forest in Heuco Mondo for thousands of years. Bleach still has so many interesting characters to reveal

I enjoyed azashiro a lot, i laughed when he attacked with a military helicopter lol. Would definitely love more novel content, the other main ones ive been waiting on is Tokinada as well as your new thoughts for tousen and ginjo after youve read cfyow

Keep in mind the official bleach-anime website has been licensed for 10 years. There's definitely a strong possibility we'll get the novels animated as well as the new hell arc animated.
Based on Studio Pierrot's past with Bleach, they adapted between 1 to 2 chapters per episode. TYBW was 206 chapters in total, cut short due to Kubo's torn shoulder, meaning it could be extended. If we were to bump it up to 208 that would give us 8 seasons of 26 episodes each, if they were to adapt each chapter into its own episode. 1 season per year brings us to 8 years, 1 year for SAFWY, and the last for CFYW. At that point it would really be up to Kubo if he wanted to keep writing Bleach, finishing the hell arc. At that point they'd decide if there was enough excitement for Bleach again to renew the license on the site again.
This is all just my theory but I stand by it.
True but we first must get the continuation of the hell arc in the manga before Anime
jaymes hanson confirmed that bleach will be long running not seasonal so it wont be long to adapt the blood war
@@sukuna716 I remember hearing something about that, was it confirmed confirmed? It only makes sense, the big 3 are long running series, not seasonals. It really depends on how Pierrot feels tbh. I trust them, they know how important Bleach is and if the fk it up everyone will remember.
Oh btw I think it's far more likely the light novels end up as ova/films rather than an extra season. Similar to BtW, except with much more content.

He didn’t plan anything so no…azashiro his own man.
Azashiro being the prideful and powerful individual he is, insulting Aizen on muken while Uro zakuro was trying to convince him to kill Aizen and steal the hogyoku. All of that was genius. Aizen s the most arrogant son of a bitch, but sealed as phuck, he wouldnt do shit if Azashiro wasnt that prideful and went ahead with his zampakuto suggestion. Even kyoka suigetsu wasnt a threat to Azashiro on that moment. Its still so satisfying that moment happened in Bleach s story. I always return to that for the laughs. Love Aizen btw, but still 😂

I'll give u a hint, aizen was sealed as phuck at Muken, Kyoraku wasnt head captain back then, therefore, all Aizen could do if Azashiro, the only Shinigami kyoka suigetsu couldnt fool, have had carried with uro zakuro s suggestion, was die a hopeless death. Not like Aizen isnt powerful enough to withstand severe beating, but sealed by Urahara really put him in a bad spot, at least against high end talented Shinigami level. unsealed Aizen s still the mastermind threat we all love, though. As for Azashiro vs Zaraki, well, reiatsu and the soul reaper s bond with their zampakuto wasnt enough by the time that battle happened, and Azashiro just walked out from that battle, since his plans never included a battle between Kempachis. Zaraki was the stronger, no doubt. But Aizen was helpless in the context i was pointing up there. Get it?

I don't need to be a magician for you to understand that 2 whole days is a pretty long time for someone like Aizen
Nothing stated that Aizen can't simply put him back in it but nothing contradicts that either so it's a stalemate there
Also cien who is far stronger than soya used Gabriel and was unable to crush zaraki, (proof of this is cien fighting an unpatched eye kenny and actually going to toe with him though i do applaud the picaro there) aizen's seals don't extinguish his reaitsu they merely restring it besides him
Soya cannot attack Aizen externally neither can he internally
It was so bad he had to use urozakuro to remove the seals rather than do it himself
That same dude was stated to be weaker than a normal ruffian, bro has only his hAx going for him
Now we both know Aizen isn't stupid, him knowing azashiro definitely shows that he's placed some counter against unforseen circumstances

I mean Kenpachi wasn't "restricted", we don't know that. We know that Kenpachi restricts himself to enjoy the battle, but we don't know if he did so against Azashiro. Also saying in base, is just weird because the CFYOW novels take place before the TYBW arc so naturally he wouldn't have his bankai.
But Azashiro himself stopped fighting Kenpachi seriously. He used his shikai as opposed to his bankai to fight kenpachi.
