These award nights were fun for me because they were fun for you. Not too often I watch about 45 minutes of book awards for books I never read. Whatever anyone says, your award show will be better than this year's Oscars!
Mike, Videos like these 3 are what brought me to BookTube. These videos allow the viewers to see various books and new authors to broaden our reading. Have a great day.
👏👏👏Well done, sir! I absolutely loved this and I can't wait for the end of the year and the next show. I appreciate your putting on fancy dress for us in spite of the hot lights.🤠
This series was super fun to watch. Thanks for thinking outside the box and doing something different from what everyone else is doing! Blackwater has become a new must read for me thanks to your endorsement.
These were so much fun Mike! The only thing that I would mention, is maybe next year when you do cover of the year to say the cover artist’s name as well. Can’t wait for next year!
I really enjoyed these 3 nights of awards, not only for the love letter to the award shows of old, but because it was apparent you were having a hell of a time doing it. I don’t want the year to fly by, but I’ll be ready for the 2nd iteration of this. Keep kicking ass, bud.
For future end of year awards I would like to see you extrapolate with a brief conclusion on why you decided to choose the winners that you did. What made them stand above the rest in your opinion? Would be great to get insight into your awesome brain! Cheers, thank you for everything you do!!
I loved this. It's such a fresh way to do a book of the year video. Please keep doing this, it's not cringe, it's awesome. Much love from Nebraska, Mike :)
Hey, Mike. These were great fun and well put together. Sounds like next year will be even better. FYI - just started Riyria Revelations. Done with book 1 already and am enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation 😁
This awards series was great. I love breaking down the bests into different categories...it does feel limiting to just have a "Top 10" books. I had a lot of fun. Despite your behind the scenes disclaimers at the end, I didn't think it was cringe at all! I thought it was a lot of fun and I am already looking forward to the second annual awards in 2026!
i remember this one time i felt like no matter what i did, people just didn’t notice me. i tried everything-confidence boosters, social tips, you name it-but nothing seemed to work. then i found this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it completely shifted how i saw myself. it’s not just about being noticed; it’s about understanding the energy you project. honestly, this book made all the difference for me. if you’ve ever felt invisible, you need to read it.
Conspiracy theory. Haha Mike has Grave Empire by Richard Swan in the background. I think it’ll make an appearance on a TBR video, perhaps for the month of February.😂
i remember feeling like i was always the one fading into the background while others stood out effortlessly. it was frustrating and made me doubt myself a lot. then i came across this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it showed me things i’d never even considered. it’s not just a self-help book; it’s like a guide to understanding your own energy and using it to connect with people. if you’ve ever felt like you’re not seen, this book might change everything.
one night i was scrolling through my phone, feeling like i’d never figure out why some people just seem so magnetic. then i came across this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and something about it caught my attention. reading it was like turning on a light in a dark room. it’s not about pretending to be someone you’re not; it’s about unlocking the energy you already have. trust me, this book is worth every page
I loved your book award videos. I thought for sure that The Silverblood Promise would win best cover. It's so good! The cover of the second book in the series is fantastic as well.
Another stellar night. Would be happy enough if things in 2026 were more or less the same, but look forward to seeing your big dreams come to fruition.
I'm currently reading the Best of Richard Matheson short story collection. If you haven't read that, I'd give it a go. He hasn't been completely forgotten (at least not on Booktube), but he isn't as mainstream as King, Lovecraft, or Poe.
I'm no expert, but I have a small suggestion: make longer cuts when transitioning to next scenes so the frame doesn't freeze: like at 1:48 for example.
Will you be doing an into the multiverse video or anything on 11.22.63? I’m almost finished with it and I love it. I know it’s one of your favorites by King and I’d love to see a video about it
I have to try Shogun again soon. I stopped a quarter of the way through part one. I was reading African Samurai at the same time, so it might be a case of too much Japan at once.
Mike I enjoyed this Award show setup that you did1 thing I think for the next 1 though For 2025 would be when you do the end of the year wrap up don't mention Your favorite book of the year That would that would basically be repeated when you do this award show By telling us who the novel of the year was
Mike I saw you loved shogun I got a book to recommend to you that you might like it or love it as well it’s Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa I just started reading it I like it so far.
there was a time when i kept wondering why some people seemed to naturally draw others in while i was just…there. no matter what i tried, i couldn’t figure out how they did it. then someone mentioned the book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and i decided to check it out. the way it explains how your aura affects everything around you? it blew me away. it’s like having a secret code to unlock your magnetic energy. this book is a game-changer.
These award nights were fun for me because they were fun for you. Not too often I watch about 45 minutes of book awards for books I never read. Whatever anyone says, your award show will be better than this year's Oscars!
Thanks for all three nights Mike! And for expanding my never ending TBR
Great idea to do best cover - feel we should have the artist in the nominee section tho for next time :)
So good! I can't wait to see this series again in 2026. 😁😁😁
I enjoyed all 3 videos. I would love to see it come back at the end of the year.
Thanks for all of your time spent delivering such great content. We love it Mike. So grateful to spend another year watching Mike's Book Reviews 🎉
Mike, Videos like these 3 are what brought me to BookTube. These videos allow the viewers to see various books and new authors to broaden our reading. Have a great day.
Hello Mike! Enjoyed all three videos and I really liked the color of your shirt and tie. Take care!
👏👏👏Well done, sir! I absolutely loved this and I can't wait for the end of the year and the next show. I appreciate your putting on fancy dress for us in spite of the hot lights.🤠
My wife and I enjoyed your year end awards shows, thanks Mike!
I enjoyed these. I love that you try new things while staying on brand.

I loved your awards show. I hope to see it next year. Happy reading, Mike.
You win the prize for best MC.
Great job on the video! The intro is really nice!
This has been a good time. I kept trying to predict what you were going to pick and messed up almost every time. Lol
This was so much fun! I really enjoyed the format and thought you did a great job with all the categories.
Maybe you can also shout out the artist for the cover of the year award?
Love it man! Thanks for another great night!

Wonderfully done! Thank you for three great videos, and I hope to see more next year. 🥂
Can’t wait to see this again next year!
Watched all 3 Mike, Top man 🥃.
Best book tuber on You tube, always interesting.....and entertaining!
An excellent night for James Clavell! Thank you for making these videos, Mike -- I thoroughly enjoyed them!
Absolutely love the format. It'll hit even harder next year when you have multiple years worth of nominations :) Love the tie!
That was a lot of fun Mike, I hope you do it again next year x. 🎉

Once again, what a fun idea! I look forward to (hopefully) the 2025 awards. Thanks for sharing!
Loved all three nights! Plus a new stack of TBR yay

Your guest presenters idea would be awesome!
And the winner of Best in Show goes to.......MIKE!
Appreciate you, man. Have an awesome week!
Mike you are truly red carpet ready! The fashion police gives you a 👍🏻.
These videos are lots of fun thank you. Also, looking sharp in the blue shirt and tie🎉
i remember this one time i felt like no matter what i did, people just didn’t notice me. i tried everything-confidence boosters, social tips, you name it-but nothing seemed to work. then i found this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it completely shifted how i saw myself. it’s not just about being noticed; it’s about understanding the energy you project. honestly, this book made all the difference for me. if you’ve ever felt invisible, you need to read it.
Well done, Mike! 👍
I enjoyed these videos and off the back of them am now thoroughly engrossed in the The War for the Rose Throne
Great work, Mike! I'm glad to see Clavell clean up!
This was a lot of fun. And BTW, that blue looks great!
Conspiracy theory. Haha
Mike has Grave Empire by Richard Swan in the background. I think it’ll make an appearance on a TBR video, perhaps for the month of February.😂
Would you consider audience/viewer choice awards?
I greatly enjoyed this award show.👀💕
i remember feeling like i was always the one fading into the background while others stood out effortlessly. it was frustrating and made me doubt myself a lot. then i came across this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it showed me things i’d never even considered. it’s not just a self-help book; it’s like a guide to understanding your own energy and using it to connect with people. if you’ve ever felt like you’re not seen, this book might change everything.
Loved it!
Loved these videos Mike!
Great fun! Highly enjoyed. I would have guessed that Slewfoot had the most nominations without wins.
I loved these videos! Excellent quality. Good job! Will watch again. :) and you susan Lucci’d Ken. lol 🤪 I didn’t even catch that he didn’t win.
I enjoyed all 3 nights. Looking forward to next year.

Huge difference between night one and three...feel like you got more and more comfortable with it. Looking forward to next year!
I really liked these. It was something completely different. That Susan Luchi reference had me rolling!
Blackwater well deserved nominations!
⛩️ Bravo Shogun! If only Mr. Clavelle were here to see it.
I'm looking forward to the after party 🎉
Found you on fable Mike and gave you a follow!
Quick note, I'd love to see the cover artists credited for the art award. Really enjoyed this awards format!
Didn't expect an All my Children reference!
I'm currently reading the Best of Richard Matheson short story collection. If you haven't read that, I'd give it a go. He hasn't been completely forgotten (at least not on Booktube), but he isn't as mainstream as King, Lovecraft, or Poe.
All the Fiends of Hell? Well alrighty, I’m reading that one next.
Good little video series. Thanks!
Good first attempt. It will get better over time.
Predicting now that Sun Eater wins best series next year
I'm no expert, but I have a small suggestion: make longer cuts when transitioning to next scenes so the frame doesn't freeze: like at 1:48 for example.
Is not putting Shogun into Historical Fiction not the same as adjusting your winners?
Maybe. It's not a perfect science. But I'll never adjust the winners just so everyone gets a trophy. That was my main point.
Whooo I’m first today!!! Morning Mike!!! You look nice btw
Can confirm. I am 39 years old and I didn’t understand the Susan Lucci reference. Guess you were right when you said 40 lol
I was not expecting a Susan Lucci reference, LOL!
Enjoyed the awards show. re Best Covers - mention name of the cover artist/s.
I gotta say this was a pretty good idea. Only bummed that empire of the damned didn't get anything. I was really surprised with that book. Very good 👍
Will you be doing an into the multiverse video or anything on 11.22.63? I’m almost finished with it and I love it. I know it’s one of your favorites by King and I’d love to see a video about it
I have to try Shogun again soon. I stopped a quarter of the way through part one. I was reading African Samurai at the same time, so it might be a case of too much Japan at once.
It was a Shogun kinda year!
Mike I enjoyed this Award show setup that you did1 thing I think for the next 1 though For 2025 would be when you do the end of the year wrap up don't mention Your favorite book of the year That would that would basically be repeated when you do this award show By telling us who the novel of the year was
Have you seen The 100 Greatest Books of All Time the was on PBS back in 2014 I think, This was the best award show ever.
Thanks, Mike, I appreciate you, too. I do have one tiny complaint: no female authors. You really should add some to your TBR.
Happy reading,
Kay
You forgot the Emilia Pérez novel.
Mike I saw you loved shogun I got a book to recommend to you that you might like it or love it as well it’s Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa I just started reading it I like it so far.
🎆🎆🎇🧨🧨
Can you please do an 11/22/63 review?
Is this a reupload or am I having a dejavu ?
I got the Susan Lucci.
Is Mike friends with Nerdy Narrative?
Mike pleas turkish translate😊

Just shut up and upload the Witchcraft review already 😅
I'm almost done with the book and there's a big chance that I'll form an opinion of it by myself 😂
