I've made two, one big for my daughter, and one little for my granddaughter. I'm working on three more. They are fast and easy to crochet, and look really nice on.
Thank you for sharing your pattern. I just finished this cabot cove cardigan. I love it. I'm grateful for both written and video, as the video teaches me how to read the pattern. Again thank you for sharing your marvelous talent.
Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern and wonderful video MJ! I ordered my yarn a few weeks ago and have started the pattern. Your instructions are so clear and easy to understand. Am really enjoying your pattern!
Hi from Texas!! I have made this cardigan twice in two different sizes and colors. Both are so beautiful!!! This pattern works up so quickly, and easily. I get lots of compliments when I wear these cardigans. Thanks MJ!!
@@mamacamano7507 It takes me about 3-5 days from start to finish. It depends on the size I am making, and if I'm babysitting my 2 year old grandson. On those days, I would be lucky to get even one row done..lol. The way the rows grow with all the chains, SC, and 3dc clusters, you will see this garment grow very fast. Which, for me, is very satisfying.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I made it with sport weight yarn since I live in the caribbean and it came out perfect. Thank you so much for this pattern.
Hi!! I just completed this cardigan, and I love it!! It's perfect for the hot summer months; allowing coverup from the sun's harmful rays while still getting a nice breeze. The pattern was easy and looks so beautiful!
@@eileenreyes5183 I used just over 1100. I did the s/m size. There is a hyperlink in the info under the video that will take you to MJ's pattern blog. It has all the specifics for the amount of yarn needed for different sizes, and the hooks needed. I hope this helps. Happy crocheting!! 😉😊
@@eileenreyes5183 YW!! 😉😊 I have also made several other of MJ's items. Most recently, a hooded bear toddler blanket. I made two, one for my granddaughter, the other for my grandson. They came out so adorable!! I don't know how MJ does it, but her patterns are fun, easy, beautiful; and her tutorials are fantastic! I wish you all the best with your new crocheting adventures 😉😊
I just finished this lovely cardigan. It was my second attempt. I tried blocking the first cardigan and made a total mess of it. Had to throw it out. But, because I loved the cardigan and it was really quite easy to do, I bought more yarn and got to work. It took me about a week to finish it. I love it! It was well worth trying again!!
Truly a beautiful cardigan. And so quick to work up. I started a couple of weeks ago and am halfway through. This pattern is a keeper. Just wish I could find a Canadian source/substitute for this yarn. Thank you so much MJ! You are a gem.❤️
This was my first attempt to crochet and the tutorial was so helpful, thanks Michelle! My cardigan looks great and I love the ribbing that looks like it is knitted. I am definitely going to try out all of your other designs. You have such wonderful taste. ❤
Gosh, MJ, I love your tutorials, I'm about to post a picture of the men sweater you made for your husband. But this one, is quite impossible to follow. Which is a shame since is so so pretty.
I’m confused about repeat row 3, the pattern says sc in 3rd ch of the chain 3, sc, sk cluster then sc in 1st ch of the chain 3…but the video looks like you are just doing a sc in the chain 3 spaces themselves. Which is the right way to do it?
Thank You so much for this wonderful pattern I’m going to make it for myself. Can you please give me the sleeve measurement I have larger round arms, so I’m wondering if I should more rows for my sleeve.
I don't understand your explanation about the arms and frontsextion unfortunately 😢 because I can't really see the total of the work. Could you show that too or explain? I already started and can't figure it out. Drives me crazy 😂
I love your work but I can’t understand what happens after I complete the first half of the sleeves. I’m really lost but if you could show the entire sweater somehow, I’m sure I could figure it out. Thanks so much.
I like the look of this cardigan so much that I purchased the pattern. However i cannot see how many chains are needed to start the pattern. Can anyone please advise me on this. Thank you.
This is so lovely and am making it for my daughter in law for Xmas. When I'm aligning the front rt panel to the back i find that the front measures the same length as the back with less rows. Back is 52 puff stiches and front is only 44 but the measure up the same. Should I go ahead and make the same number even if it appears the longer? help please. Thanks
Hi there, this is MJs admin assistant, pattern support questions are answered in the Facebook community group here facebook.com/groups/363218121026907/
Working on this. Question: you mention how the first 44 rows can be altered to personalize the length. I want to make sure mine is hip length. What does the measurement of this section represent? Shoulder down?
Sorry, I do not give away measurements for free. Garments take a lot of work to design. You have to purchase the PDF pattern for the schematic and customization instructions. www.etsy.com/ca/listing/796870939/
@@mjsoffthehook i have purchased the pdf. I was asking because I don’t understand exactly where on my anatomy to measure to make sure it ends up proper length. I don’t understand the schematics.

Hi! The instructions in the pattern says that we single crochet in the third chain of the five chain space. But the video shows that we just single crochet into the five chain space. I’m confused. I’ll follow the pattern. I’ve also looked up info in the Facebook group. But still a little bit confused.
The proper way to do it and write it is to crochet into the chain but it is much quicker to crochet into the chain 5 space. It looks the same either way.
