It impressive that he is getting double teamed already. That means 1 on 1 match ups for Cam Jordan. Saint will get pressure by sugaring the A-gap or simply sending 5 on the rush.
Started watching your stuff for breakdown on Bears O-Lineman but have stuck around to watch your line analysis in general. I've learned so much more about the intricacies of the trenches, thanks brother!
Just glad he fell to us haha For his size, he has a quick first step. As long as he can stay healthy and keep developing, he’ll be that 3 tech that we’ve been waiting for since healthy Sheldon Rankins in 2017-18
Dam outstanding job leading these football dull eyes into the world of the nfl offensive line nuances. The more I take in of your expertise and quality explanation ability the more I see. Thank you Sir Football Scout Brian
People also need to remember not only is he being double teamed but often so is Cam Jordan, so together they have the opportunity to free up other defensive linemen.
My favorite team is the Saints. So this breakdown caught my attention a few days ago. I know about basic football, but not in detail how you broke Breese's potential, effort, and moves down. I'm watching the Saints, and I watched for Breese's moves. You know your shiii! When they're not doubling Breese. He's a problem. Spin moves, arm swings, etc. Keep up the great work.
I would say they’re probably sliding to him because he’s usually the three Tech or head up on the guard whereas they’re kind of fanning out the backside to the wide five in the walked up Backer
New subscriber. Really like your work detailing what happens in the trenches. Anybody who thinks NFL players are idiots without brains is lying to themselves.
Great breakdown. I see his potential. He just needs to add a little more layers to his pash rush moves. Like subtle head movements to set up his move like on that play at the 9:46 mark to set up that spin move. Could’ve been the difference to make that RG overcommit to create just enough room for the spin. Football still a games of inches in the trenches!
Danny Shelton used to piss me off bc my squad took him w the 12th pick in the 1st rd and he might as well of cut his hands off bc all he did was forearm bull rush. And aggressively jump on the pile when the play was over
It's not about working all the time, it's about freeing up others as well....When those starters in Saunders, Cam Jordan and others are on the field with him....And Some of these QB'S are going to get rid of the ball quickly....As the season progresses and he gets more reps and more comfortable, Breese will be making an impact...DT is the hardest position to understand because there aren't any highlight stats!!
Do you know why guys play 750 snaps and only end up with like 12 sacks? Because it's HARD to get to the QB when you factor in things such as DL games, OL Slides, double teams etc.. Also, he does win a few times here. He just doesn't happen to be free or in a real 1 vs 1
@The_Football_Scout no I can't evaluate lineman whatsoever so I'm trying to get a better understanding. I have no idea if his moves not working here mean anything or not
Steal of the 1st round in 2023! Kid has elite athletic ability for a human being his size. 4.5 sacks in 2023 for the Saints. I'd look for 10-12 in 2024! He's had a year to acclimate to the NFL and he'll be healthier and better prepared. Future Pro Bowler. It's just a question of how many times over.
My opinion, based on reviewing TH-cam highlight videos which is all I have access to, is that unless this guy was UBER hurt last year he's going to struggle, not only is he not a sideline to sideline run defender (admittedly rare for a DT) he struggles to stay in the play between the hashes. Little lateral quickness, and zero lateral speed, belying his 4.86 40 time. I don't think he'll be able to use that decent bull rush to any significant effect in the NFL.
This guy went through hell last year. Torn shoulder, coming off torn a ACL, had a kidney infection and lost his sister to cancer. Those are the only reasons you were lucky enough to draft him. This dude is JJ Watt. This dude was the best defensive player in the draft but no one listened to me. If he stays healthy he will be a hall of famer.

Saunders and breese will help cam Jordan out a lot this season.

Good job man that’s how u get better 💪

He moves so well with his frame

That first play, 75 was beat from the start. Good job by Bryan recognizing that.
If he keeps improving he will be elite WHODATT
Used to earth him in HS. Dudes been a dawg
Bryan is really strong. I actually wanted him over Mazi for the Cowboys.
We’ll obviously breesee upside is much higer
The run game was a guarantee with Mazi. But with bresee you have an all purpose lineman with upside…
Mazi is pretty solid as well
Mazi is gonna occupy blocks and help run D. Bresse has a better chance of getting to QB and has more moves. Time will tell
Week 1 Bresee I need you to meet king Henry in the backfield immediately .
People also need to remember not only is he being double teamed but often so is Cam Jordan, so together they have the opportunity to free up other defensive linemen.
3 years from now Dallas Fans will wish they had this guy over Maz!!!!!

Yeah dude going to be really good
Great job T
Excellent breakdown. Can't wait to see all of their first string players on the field at once.
It’s preseason , in actual games the Saints rotate and sub in fresh legs pretty aggressively , by the 3rd quarter they got your O-line gassed out.
I would say they’re probably sliding to him because he’s usually the three Tech or head up on the guard whereas they’re kind of fanning out the backside to the wide five in the walked up Backer

Used to watch him in HS. Dudes been a dawg. His name is also
Pronounced bre-c
Bresee is a great talent! Great video!
They practiced with the saints all week, that’s why they doubled Breese. If I were to guess
That's a Great point. I way overlooked this factor.
11:27 Foskey screwed that play up bad lol.
Falcons fan. Bresee looks pretty annoying, esp against the run but both really. Thx for the analysis!

Fantastic video man, helped me alot to get a better understand of this part of the game. Thank you very much
Great Breakdown as always! Just curious if you don’t mind, which software do you use for your breakdowns?
I use a few different ones to put the video together. Feel free to DM me on twitter.
5:34 I believe 98 for Saints is getting a holding penalty against him. Am I wrong?
All I can see is Jaylen Smiths knocked knees 😂
I really really like Bresse. He has nice size, quickness, can probably work on some techniques but he’s a starter
I think him and heflin inside or saunders will easilly be able to penetrate olines.
Danny Shelton used to piss me off bc my squad took him w the 12th pick in the 1st rd and he might as well of cut his hands off bc all he did was forearm bull rush. And aggressively jump on the pile when the play was over
Massive presence that absolutely requires committed blocking. If a mistake is made withing the O line in blocking him, it will be costly !
It’s not “bri-zay” 😖😣😡
nice video on our rook take my sub/like well deserved with the dope content
The Saints urgently need a Pass Rusher. Weak team in pressures. 😬
Bro u saw da same I saw frfr
U don’t need to get to da Qb every time
I'm not really sure how to take this analysis as a saints fan. I wanted to just eat this up and agree but, none of his moves worked. Not even once

He will improve, you will see as the season goes on.
Word. I just see a guy getting manhandled, then when he uses pretty decent instincts to spin back and try to get Herbert, he's nowhere near the guy.

My only issue is your pronunciation. 😆 It's BreSEE. Not BreSAY. On point analysis otherwise.

@TheSkyline5467 You know what they say about opinions...
Lol nah this kid is going to be really good. He went through a lot last year so do not base anything off that alone
At least say his name correctly
None of his moves works against back ups lol
Wasn’t all back up some starters
those were starters, he only played in first half against starting o line.
Nothing he didnimpressed me. No speed to power. Bunch of moves that never work
