"Even Though" is on my daily morning rotation...helps raise my vibe before I get going. I never really thought about all of the moving parts that make it work...just know it's helped get me through some tough times.
I enjoyed hearing this background about one of my all time favorite Take 6 tunes. I've tried to figure out the chords by ear over the years but have never succeeded. Hope to see the chart published one day. Thanks again!
This is forever one of my favorites - maybe because I’m a huge Brian fan, too :) The bridge in particular always gets me. And about the bass and kick - I always figured that was designed purposefully and I remember scratching my head thinking, What did they do there? Those figures have actually given me some ideas for my own arranging/writing.
To give even more clarity.. as Brian and I were writing/arranging this song.. I’d sing certain bass lines that I wanted and we would insert them, so..even IF they didn’t work completely with the kick , something just felt “cool” and right about the track. If you listen carefully at the entire track there are a LOT of things like that!! We filled this mug up lol
Claude, have there ever been times in the course of writing a song (or after it is completed) with the original intention of being acapella that a decision was made to add instruments? How about vice-versa (from instrumentation to acapella)?

I LOVE everything about this song, Lyrics, arrangements, harmonies. A perfect Masterpiece!
