A few years ago I was called in to take over for Stallone on a video game called Ratched and Clank. I took over for him on his character that he did in the film, named Victor Von Ion. I have filled in for Sly on a number of projects but boy I would have loved to do that commercial.

I just thought of it now because we opened the door to let the cat out and it’s cold outside. I thought ‘that’s brisk, baby!’ and had to see if this commercial was online. And we just watched the Canadian cheese ‘Gouda/Havarti’ ad.
This is truly effective advertising because even just remembering it from not seeing it for around 14-15 years, it made me go to the nearest grocery store to get a case of Brisk. Man, I forgot how refreshing that tea is!!

A couple of girls got into a pretty solid catfight when I was in high school. The action took place right in the middle of a big square of lockers. As the brawl was being broken up I shouted, "save some of that for the sequel!" Huge laughs! Still brings a smile to my face.
These Lipton claymation commercials were just great. This and the Bruce Lee. The figures looked better than Celebrity Death Match. Although I got a feeling the same guys made both.
Mickey and the vendor are both voiced by Billy West, whose work includes Fry, Zoidberg, and Zapp Brannigan on "Futurama", Bugs Bunny, the Honey Nut Cheerios bee, and the red M&M.
I remember growing up in the ‘90s and drinking a can of Brisk Iced Tea every time this commercial came on. Nostalgic over how refreshing it was to drink one coming home from school in the summer. I miss the 90’s.
The 90's were a very unique time. They were a convergence of kids who still played outside but also loved playing video games and had the internet. I was born in 83, so my memories of the 90's are largely great. I think what I miss is not so much the time, great as it was, but more so the fact that everything was still optimistic.
It IS actually Stallone! Not Burgess Meredith though. I think he had passed away before this was made. Stallone confirmed it on Letterman during this commercial's airing and mentioned that he did it free for charity. God bless him and Burgess!
I was a child when this commercial came out. I had never even heard of the Rocky franchise but this commercial got me interested in them. I saw them all soon after. An Iced Tea commercial made sales on Rocky movies.

Lol Neca toys put out a 12” maquette of Rocky and the coach from this commercial. Pricey but love it! Gonna get it!
