Yes sir, Mr. Bernie Scott has it right, in those days they made them to last. You can see the quality in those lawn tractors with the sturdy chassis and the attachments were as sturdy as the tractor and those Wisconsin engines were very durable. Thanks for sharing!

I had a bush hog tractor for 6 years and used it to move snow. Wasn't the best looking machine but always ran. Ended up selling it and got an X-Series john deere. I do miss it alot.

I had a D-410 Bush Hog with a rear-tine tiller and lawnmower and the loader was a nice machine wish I would have saved it.

Do you recall the price? Seems to had nice features and well built. I don't believe in, what was stated, it was built so good it didn't wear out and thus the market disappeared. It had other problems, perhaps management, for being such a short run. Plenty of market for a good machine.

Bush hog built a fancy model called the javalina or something like that. I had a brochure on it but never seen one in person.

was this tractor affiliated with allis chalmers/simplicity, it's almost identical.. I have a 1966 B-10 with the 10hp Wisconsin motor. Such classic looking machine, people often stop for a closer look when i'm out tilling with it.

Great! Do you know exactly what rear end was used on this unit? (Ring gear size). Did it come from an automotive source? I've been comparing them among different garden tractors from the 1950-60s-70s so I am curious about this one. I've learned about the Chrysler (1947 Plymouth I heard) supplied rear ends on Panzers, and the Cub Cadets originally used the rear from the Farmall Cubs (which were overall about three times the weight of the Cub Cadets in the early 60s!). Anyone know about this?
