Alcast, your CP allocations are impossible for Walking Flame CP 1560. You have the slottable Ironclad under the fitness tree when it should be under the warfare tree.

People just forget shields, when pressure is there..they actually dont forget it,weil familiar, but when stressed, lose overview and the current bar rotation even as alcast

Used the Setup 1 U42 version from your webpage on my Sorc last night and rolled through Maelstrom fairly easy and several World Bosses really easily. I didn't have Swarm Mother so I used Maw of the Infernal.... Thanks for posting this.
Got to say thanks a lot man, 1st run was rough took an hour thirty roughly got an infused maul, 2nd run took me 33 minutes 2-3 deaths can’t remember it got me the inferno staff and it put me on the leaderboards which rewarded me with twin axes both nirnhoned, I did modify the build to include liquid lightning on the one bar instead of elemental drain and it increased my damage by a lot, I was able to clear the rounds quickly
I had a little giggle when you said it was a bit laggy at latency at 69. Here in Aus I was trying to do Maelstrom with a ping of 390+ before the fight even started.
Alcast plays from Germany where the server is located. In reality, he should have no more than 15 ms latency. I play from Korea on EU and while my connection to Germany is around 200 ms, my in game latency is around 310~400ms.
Benni B ESO can’t fix ping. It comes from how long it takes the signals to travel to the server and back. Moving closer to the server is the only way to get really low pings. E.g. move to Europe or the USA.
Been using your old 1 bar set up to complete 3 vma so far (3 ice staves, nice), with aegis instead of elemental drain. Gold weapon isn't even needed tbh. I highly recommend this build for beginners! I'm not far from being flawless but the 7th arena fucks me up every time lol.
Gold staff isn't mandatory but its a lot of effective spell damage that it gets for being gold. It definitely helps out in terms of damage AND healing done by the bird. Rosin isn't too expensive (Cheapest of the golden mats) so making it golden just helps out in general.

This build is pretty great. Managed to complete the first six Arenas with no issues the other night and only suffered my first death on Vault of Umbrage (Still so cancer). Aiming for a Perfect Run here and hopefully this build can get me through.
Great build to also solo overland bosses with ease. Standing still on their red circles with the shield on, without loosing any health and magicka, is worth the efforts, time and gold. Good job :).
Honestly, you make this seem way easier than it actually is... I have your build exactly as suggested and have followed your guide both written and video. I die all the time with boss 6 and have been taking a nosedive since! Not easy at all. I really enjoy your guides but nah dude!
WARNING: Unless I'm missing something, you cannot make the staff he uses in this build with anything even close to the enchant dmg that he has. His staff has 4446 shock enchant. After much investigation and the help of several others, I don't believe it is possible to do better than 3590 with the current patch. This is a huge nerf and really changes the viability of this build for vMA. I would LOVE to be wrong, so all corrections, comments welcome.
Indeed. It's not much problem until arena 5. When i have to kill the trolls before they destroy the platform. To make it easier im using crushing shock on the backbar with critical surge. I know its not one bar build anymore but it helps a lot. P.S. The first time i tried to use that build i died sth about 200 times on the last arena and another 20-30 on the 5th 6th and 7th arenas :D i'm definitetly not a pro player now i die sth about 5-6 times in the last one and few more on the 7th (this one is the one hate the most)
did they change vma to make it much harder? im using this build, about 600cp and stuck on final boss, the Crematorial Guards are way, way harder than they look here. Theres no reason i should be hitting for less damage than alcast here but it takes me 5x as long to kill those things and they can melt through my shield and health in a couple of seconds. Watching this it looks like normal to me rather than veteran, ive tried the final boss about 100 times over the past few days and its just a different game to whats shown here
there is definitely a patch here or something, I just can't burn the adds as fast as he does... and I'm using the deadra killer enchantment... I did my first clear yesterday, was looking for the Perfected Version of the Malestrom Staff... did not get it. This was the setup: 5x Mother Sorrow 2x Iceheart 3x Julianos 1x Pale Ring 1x Crushing Wall I was just trying alcast set up, everything was good until the ice room...

why has he got 4446 shock damage on his staff? I have the exact same setup, golden staff, golden enchant, and only reach ~ 3650 shock damage. was there a nerf in the meantime? Clearly, I don't do as much damage as he does in the video. can anyone help out? @alcast?
followed your build, got 47k magicka but dont seem to reach 30k health, sitting at 27k. (loooking at the stats in the picture on your website) did stuff change?
I just did the same. I got gold everything, same gear and same traits, all passives, everything the same as the website. Same food, same class same race. Im at 45k magicka and 27k health. I dont understand how he gets the stats thats on the picture on the website.
Idk if this is just extremely outdated but claiming there's no difference between 1200CP and 300CP is just ridiculous. I used literally this exact same set up. Only difference was that I had a backbar that I occasionally used to apply Critical Surge and I couldn't kill the Trolls with just heavy attacks alone before they broke the ice platforms. And after dumping all my abilities and my ult with the damage sigil *and* Major Sorcery active I still barely killed the giant before he broke the last ice patch, all the while I was kiting enemies that you didn't even give a chance to spawn. On the second last boss, my entire rotation *including* my ultimate + damage sigil did less than your rotation without ultimate and damage sigil. You can pretend to expect a CP300 and a CP1000 to get similar results.
Yea, I'm having the exact same problem on the Ice part. I have his same exact setup and I'm using a back bar for Crit Surge as well as Crystal frags. I can kill that Ogre, but no where near as fast as he's doing it. I lost all of my bonus health on this part. I have around 200CP.
Why are you not covered in mobs in Seht's Arena? I keep my shields up, and something keeps one hitting me, shields and all, and I am encased by mobs as I follow him. There has to be parts missing to the video where you thin the mobs.
any tips on increasing damage? my staff is gold and the rest of my gear is purple. would it be . better to get bloodthirsty on some of my jewellery pieces or is there a better way???

I dont understand. I use Best shock weapon glyph and have 3600 dmg on Golden weapon, he has more than 4000. He burns trash mobs and it takes me 2 full lightning heavy attack combined with elemental drain and full Pet boost. Talking about final boss here.
The reason I find it to be, that there's SO MUCH to do, that it kind of overwhelms you. Not to mention every time you make a new character, you basically have to do so much to level them up and complete everything. What i'm trying to get at is, there's only so many times you're willing to do the Mages Guild, Fighters, Main Story, Alliance Quest, ect. before it becomes very repetitive. That's kind of why I feel them charging you money to max those trees out is a bit ... scummy. But yea, I kind of lost interest since such nerfs / changes to every class can dramatically impact a character and not make them fun to play anymore. The only real fun I find in ESO these days is doing Vet Dungeons / Trials with my guild mates and PvP stuff. Everything else feels like a chore tbh.
Caramel Frappe I spent alot if time leveling up my magnecro when elsweyr came out, I ended up doing alot less dps than my build that I did before (stamblade) and was extremely dissapointed. In the end I just quit because Elsweyr was such a letdown and I want to get back but none of my builds work anymore and the game just feels way too grindy
In the icy arena, the boss seems pretty hard because he's like a dps check. You dont have enough dps to kill him before he breaks all 3 of the ice grounds and you're left to die in the frozen water... I tried with the exact build and cant seem to past there.
@@momentarylapse1362 its actually at certain threshholds he slams the ice, if u rush him too fast dps wise you die, you have to take the fight slow, so dps doesnt really come into that fight as much
Yes this build still works, I got my first two completions with it this week. I only REALLY struggled on the last boss, but my second time through I drastically got better. Keep trying, you'll get there!
I am having trouble killing the crematorium guard without my ult. If I have my ult as soon as he spawns I can easily get to the second round with the ring. I'm still practicing not getting knocked down but it's very frustrating trying to practice The mechanical skill where the first time I fall means instant death because I can't kill the guard. I'm running necropotence and burning spell weave together how should I go about killing the guard when I get pushed down?
How in the hell do you run this the way you do? I've watched your videos so many times and I can barely get past the 5th round. I have my character set up with the gear you list but I keep getting wrecked every time I try this arena.
Im stuck at the last boss with this plague doctor , necropotence swarm mother build, i feel like i dont have enough damage at the crystals above part, i keep getting knocked down by her and i cant tell when to dodge that shit please help me. Then when im downstairs theres 2 ads a clanfear and a daedroth, i cant kill them fast enough either to go back up. Very frustrating

I actually did it with all purple everything. zero monster set but I don't even have one on my normal build, my connection is strange and I have trouble doing dps in groups to get my monster set. I copied the abilities to the back bar but was using mage's wrath or it's morph (can't remember) because it hits the bosses a lot harder for me, especially the final boss. I had two of the staff though.
Mate, you make it look like childs play on pc ? Even when i do mechanics and dont go for a burn when apparently you control the add spawns by percentage of dam on a boss there still spawning ? Pet sorc im atruggling still any more tips
it's not too bad, stun from pet will fuck you over faster. the damage isn't too high so if you don't attack whilke in the bubble the mob willl never die
dude... the fucking pet man... you have no idea how many times it fucked me haha... plus some unfair RNG e.g. hiding in the bubble and a flower sprouting at the same spot...
I experienced this tonight as well. I'm using the exact build he does with enchants but not full gold items. I'm getting my ass kicked in the 5th stage boss fight. I can't kill any of the trolls fast enough and I die too quickly.
This build its not viable anymore due changes, now its kinda easyer and magica classes in this patch are busted so, you just gotta know arena mechanics and when pop ur shield and block\dodge.
Is this build still viable after the latest patch? I have only got to the ice stage and can’t get past the final boss. Issues include: can’t get onto ice floes, most of the time interrupt doesn’t work on the troll breaking the ice floes, and getting crowd controlled in the ice water. I have given up after 100 deaths on this level, used 80 grand repair kits and 150 potions. I use all the sigils and followed your video guide
What did you do to make enemies run so slow? I’m on the last level and they run twice as fast, and there is no way to dance round the big guy, and once the guy drops down to the floor, there are 2 to 3 times the number of enemies.
It's not ideal. I already had necropotence jewellersy/weps from an earlier build so I had to get Plague Doctor for my armor slots... they're all Heavy armor so you'll lose out on a ton of juicy Light Armor passive bonuses. I still managed to do vMA (first try), but it would be better to have Necro on your body since they do drop in Light unlike PD.
FIRST...this is a demonstration of skill. Skill is obtained by adding Time + Practice. Having THE VERY BEST of everything does you ZERO good IF you have not dedicated the time to learn the the game, your character skills and the mechanics (which Alcast knows by heart). Most people are after a staff, this can be obtained now (THANK GOD) on Normal Arena. I have been doing normal for the past 3 days...just to get the feel of what pops where and how tough each type of mobs are. Normal Arena is VERY easy compared to Vet.. Vet is a PAIN, Alcast makes it look easy, because it IS EASY FOR HIM.. it will not BE FOR YOU.. At First... but .. Try, Try again is how you win in the arena.
I just beat it with a purple staff und cp198. It is possible but a pain in the ass. You have really low dps, so you really need to play it well to manage your resources over the fight.
Infernal guardian is a good alt monster set allows u to do dmg even when pressured if they are new to the arena, spam shields and watch things die got my first flawless with it
The guide is for newer players who have difficulty with the arena, not some one who runs it for scores, this is why I suggested infernal as uriel noticed but u didn't, thankyou for taking time to prove you can read and take into account context.
Do you have a magblade pve vma build because im a cp 745 an still can not get a flawless run in vma an i really dont want to make a new pve toon but im really struggling with vma on my magblade especially in this patch do to dps being decreased

I feel really dumb. The arena 7 final boss has always been my bane but i never knew about those sorcerers creating bubbles that protected you because i always got rid of them and bashed the boss and killed him at a range. I've gotten flawless conqueror on a buncha toons but still never knew that lmao
Actually torugs is better then plague doctor. More dmg, more resistance on iceheart and ward, insane uptime on the new off blance+ heavy attack. And its craftable so you can just get the pieces your still missing even faster. Just put 14-16 points in to health and some points into bastion.
How much dmg shield of the Hardened Ward do you get with Torug's (with how many CPs into Bastion)? With Plague Doctor and ~28k health and zero points in Bastion I get ~17k dmg. shield.

Tried it at cp250 and it didn't work, I got stuck at stage 5. I tried again at cp600 and finally... not flawless conqueror, but at least i complete it. For those who can´t make it, this build helps me a lot, but you need to learn spawn places, mechs etc etc

ye the ping counter is pretty much garbage, when there is a spike in latency for a second, sometimes it does not even show it.

Can you still do this on current patch? tried it and damage isnt that great
In the icy arena, the boss seems pretty hard because he's like a dps check. You dont have enough dps to kill him before he breaks all 3 of the ice grounds and you're left to die in the frozen water... I tried with the exact build and cant seem to past there.
@@momentarylapse1362 its actually at certain threshholds he slams the ice, if u rush him too fast dps wise you die, you have to take the fight slow, so dps doesnt really come into that fight as much
Yes this build still works, I got my first two completions with it this week. I only REALLY struggled on the last boss, but my second time through I drastically got better. Keep trying, you'll get there!
I have the exact same set but u make much more damage... Idk why🤯 the only thing I didnt put in are all the enchants... are they key?
I am having trouble killing the crematorium guard without my ult. If I have my ult as soon as he spawns I can easily get to the second round with the ring. I'm still practicing not getting knocked down but it's very frustrating trying to practice The mechanical skill where the first time I fall means instant death because I can't kill the guard. I'm running necropotence and burning spell weave together how should I go about killing the guard when I get pushed down?
How in the hell do you run this the way you do? I've watched your videos so many times and I can barely get past the 5th round. I have my character set up with the gear you list but I keep getting wrecked every time I try this arena.
Im stuck at the last boss with this plague doctor , necropotence swarm mother build, i feel like i dont have enough damage at the crystals above part, i keep getting knocked down by her and i cant tell when to dodge that shit please help me. Then when im downstairs theres 2 ads a clanfear and a daedroth, i cant kill them fast enough either to go back up. Very frustrating

I've copied this build almost exactly except for the ring and chest piece which are swapped, and i only have 36k magic and 26k health

For an even easier clear use Critical Surge instead of Elemental Drain. Enchant your jewelry to the spell damage enchant. It makes a huge difference.
I can't get past the Guardian, I keep my shield up.
I actually did it with all purple everything. zero monster set but I don't even have one on my normal build, my connection is strange and I have trouble doing dps in groups to get my monster set. I copied the abilities to the back bar but was using mage's wrath or it's morph (can't remember) because it hits the bosses a lot harder for me, especially the final boss. I had two of the staff though.

Mate, you make it look like childs play on pc ? Even when i do mechanics and dont go for a burn when apparently you control the add spawns by percentage of dam on a boss there still spawning ? Pet sorc im atruggling still any more tips

The staff enchant in the vid shows 4446 shock dmg. How did you get this? I've got the same staff, same enchant, gold, infused and I only get 3590. ??
I guess Iceheart could potentially be a bit problematic during the 7th boss fight, if it procs when you try to hide under the bubble.
it's not too bad, stun from pet will fuck you over faster. the damage isn't too high so if you don't attack whilke in the bubble the mob willl never die
dude... the fucking pet man... you have no idea how many times it fucked me haha... plus some unfair RNG e.g. hiding in the bubble and a flower sprouting at the same spot...
Still works, took a while but vma still beatable with this build, more than beatable
obv there are better alternatives that are faster, but it's still reliant although it can be a bit hard at times
cant beat boss at stage 5, same items, stats, etc...did they change something? (seems like you do a lot more dmg then me [i have cp560 btw])
I experienced this tonight as well. I'm using the exact build he does with enchants but not full gold items. I'm getting my ass kicked in the 5th stage boss fight. I can't kill any of the trolls fast enough and I die too quickly.

This build its not viable anymore due changes, now its kinda easyer and magica classes in this patch are busted so, you just gotta know arena mechanics and when pop ur shield and block\dodge.

Is this build still viable after the latest patch? I have only got to the ice stage and can’t get past the final boss. Issues include: can’t get onto ice floes, most of the time interrupt doesn’t work on the troll breaking the ice floes, and getting crowd controlled in the ice water. I have given up after 100 deaths on this level, used 80 grand repair kits and 150 potions. I use all the sigils and followed your video guide
Also ice heart never procs. Is it bugged ? I can’t be doing zero crits
What did you do to make enemies run so slow? I’m on the last level and they run twice as fast, and there is no way to dance round the big guy, and once the guy drops down to the floor, there are 2 to 3 times the number of enemies.

What do you think about using plague doctor armor and necropotence weapons and jewelry?
It's not ideal. I already had necropotence jewellersy/weps from an earlier build so I had to get Plague Doctor for my armor slots... they're all Heavy armor so you'll lose out on a ton of juicy Light Armor passive bonuses. I still managed to do vMA (first try), but it would be better to have Necro on your body since they do drop in Light unlike PD.
FIRST...this is a demonstration of skill. Skill is obtained by adding Time + Practice. Having THE VERY BEST of everything does you ZERO good IF you have not dedicated the time to learn the the game, your character skills and the mechanics (which Alcast knows by heart). Most people are after a staff, this can be obtained now (THANK GOD) on Normal Arena. I have been doing normal for the past 3 days...just to get the feel of what pops where and how tough each type of mobs are. Normal Arena is VERY easy compared to Vet.. Vet is a PAIN, Alcast makes it look easy, because it IS EASY FOR HIM.. it will not BE FOR YOU.. At First... but .. Try, Try again is how you win in the arena.
What is the addon that males enemy aoe attacks bright purple? It's fantastic! Since sometimes its difficult to see the red areas...
it isnt an addon you can change the color of the aoe attacks in the settings

I just beat it with a purple staff und cp198. It is possible but a pain in the ass. You have really low dps, so you really need to play it well to manage your resources over the fight.

You need gold staff it increases damage by alot
Infernal guardian is a good alt monster set allows u to do dmg even when pressured if they are new to the arena, spam shields and watch things die got my first flawless with it

I feel really dumb. The arena 7 final boss has always been my bane but i never knew about those sorcerers creating bubbles that protected you because i always got rid of them and bashed the boss and killed him at a range. I've gotten flawless conqueror on a buncha toons but still never knew that lmao

Actually torugs is better then plague doctor. More dmg, more resistance on iceheart and ward, insane uptime on the new off blance+ heavy attack. And its craftable so you can just get the pieces your still missing even faster. Just put 14-16 points in to health and some points into bastion.
How much dmg shield of the Hardened Ward do you get with Torug's (with how many CPs into Bastion)?
With Plague Doctor and ~28k health and zero points in Bastion I get ~17k dmg. shield.

Tried it at cp250 and it didn't work, I got stuck at stage 5. I tried again at cp600 and finally... not flawless conqueror, but at least i complete it. For those who can´t make it, this build helps me a lot, but you need to learn spawn places, mechs etc etc
